You shot up in bed at the sound of Corbyn's knocking and shook Daniel. He opened his eyes slowly and groaned, "It's like 8:30 in the morning, come back to sleep." He gripped your waist and tried pulling you back down to him but your pulled his arm away. "Daniel, Corbyn's here." you said and all the tiredness left his body in an instant. His eyes shot open and he sat up with you, "Oh fuck, what do we do?" he asked in a panic. You ran your hand through your hair, "I have to go talk to him! He's gonna keep knocking until I answer and he knows I'm a light sleeper." you said frantically. Daniel got out of bed and started to pace, unsure of what to do. "Okay! Um, what if I stay in here and you go talk to him in the living room? Just don't let him come in here?" he suggested and you sighed. It was better than hiding out in your apartment until Corbyn gave up. "Okay, that should be fine. Lock the door when I walk out and be quiet." you said. Daniel nodded and you threw on a sweatshirt, walking to your front door. "I'm coming, I'm coming! Jesus Corb, it's early." you shouted before opening the door. He didn't even say hello as he pushed past you and stood by the couch with his arms crossed. "When were you gonna tell me, hm? When were you going to tell me that you were dating one of my best friends, Y/N?" he said, his voice growing louder. "Corbyn, please. We didn't know how to tell you, we didn't know how you'd react." you said, trying to reason with him. "Oh! So you just lied instead?" he yelled. He was getting riled up again. "Yes, okay? We lied to you Corbyn I'm sorry. But this right here was exactly why we were afraid to tell you!" you yelled back. Corbyn threw his hands up in frustration, "Can you cut this 'we' bullshit, please? Because my relationship with you and my relationship with Daniel are two completely different things!" "No, they aren't! He's my best friend too and you never had a problem with it until now!" "Yeah because you're dating now!" "So what?" "Three fucking minutes, Y/N!" he shouted and you stopped. You stared at him shocked, a lump beginning to form in your throat. "Are—are you serious, Corbyn? You want to call three minutes on this? Like a fucking child? This isn't us fighting over who gets the last donut anymore, this is my life too!" you yelled and stuck your finger in his face. Tears rolled down your cheeks and Corbyn stood in front of you, silent.
Neither of you spoke, completely unsure of what to say next. A loud sneeze came from your bedroom and you squeezed your eyes shut, Fuck. The fire in Corbyn's eyes reignited and he looked at you, "Is he here?" he laughed dryly. "You've gotta be kidding me." Corbyn muttered as he turned and stormed off to your room. You followed him, cutting him off before he could get to the door. "Corbyn, don't." you said and he yelled over your shoulder at the door, "Hope you had a good night, Seavey! Why don't you come out here and talk to me, huh?" He was getting angrier and more sporadic by the second and you needed it to stop. "Corbyn, just go home." you sighed, the tears staining your cheeks as they continued to fall. He looked to you and his expression changed from angry to hurt. "What?" he choked out. "Go home." you whispered and he started walking back towards the door, shaking his head and slamming the door on his way out. The second after the door slammed, Daniel opened your bedroom door and looked at you. Your eyes met his bright blue ones and you broke down. He pulled you into his arms and you sobbed into his chest. Daniel let you cry it all out, an occasional scream coming out. You pulled at your hair, you were so overwhelmed. Daniel sat on your bed and watched you pace back and forth across the room, his heart aching in his chest. He felt so guilty, this is exactly what he wanted to avoid but you were right, it still may have gone this way if you had been the one to tell him. "I just, ugh! I don't understand! How does his effect him at all?! It's my life, my boyfriend, my decision! Why can't he just let us be happy. He's my big brother." you ranted and the last sentence came out in more of a sob than a sentence. You stopped pacing and collapsed back into Daniel's arms. He rocked back and forth on the bed with you on his lap, curled up to his chest. He stroked your hair and kissed the top of your head, whispering things like 'it's gonna be okay' and 'he's just angry, he'll cool down' and finally he says, "I'm sorry, Y/N." You move from his chest and look up at him. "Don't you dare apologize, Daniel. This isn't your fault, I promise." you say and he wipes away a stray tear with his thumb, "It feels like it is, and I can't do anything to fix it." he says quietly. You lean up and kiss his cheek, resting your head on his shoulder. "You being here is enough for me." you say.
Corbyn storms through the front door of the Why Don't We house aggressively, like there was boiling water coursing through his veins. The rest of the boys come out of their rooms after hearing him come in and look to him for an update. "Well, how did it go?" Jonah asked and Corbyn balls up his hands into fists. "We fought, bad. We've never fought like that before. Then I found out that Daniel was there and he probably still is. She told me to go home." he seethed and the boys stood awkwardly, in the middle of two of their best friends. "Corbyn, man, you know they didn't want this to turn out this way." Jack said and Zach added on, "Just give it some time. They both deserve a happy relationship, so what if it's with each other?" Corbyn crossed his arms defensively, "So you're on their side?" he accused. Jonah stepped forward before the other two could respond. "No one is taking sides, okay? We all just want the three of you to make peace and be happy. That's not going to happen if you keep going in the direction you're headed right now. It was wrong of them to lie and sneak around, but it was also wrong of you to try to beat the shit out of Daniel for it. You all just need to reconcile and talk about this calmly." Jonah said and Corbyn relaxed a bit but couldn't face his friends. "I'm going upstairs to take a shower. I can't do this shit right now." he said and pushed through the guys to get to the stairs. They all looked at each other in shock. "Wow, this is bad." Zach said. "They'll be okay, c'mon. Let's just let him blow off some steam." Jack said and the boys left Corbyn alone for the day.
What does this mean for the band? Will Corbyn be able to forgive his sister and his best friend? Will Corbyn's disapproval cause problems for their relationship?
