"Is Lav gonna be there?" Everly asked you while struggling with the strap of her sandals. You chuckled lightly at her and bent down to help, "Uncle Jack and Auntie Gabbie will be there so yes, Lav will too." Everly jumped up and squealed, "Yay! Mommy I get to play with her!" You smiled down at her, telling her to go upstairs and get her jean jacket so you could leave. Everly was now five years old, making Lavender three and your nephew, Leo, two. Today you, Daniel and Everly were going to Corbyn and Christina's for a small barbecue in celebration of their son's second birthday and incidentally, their four year wedding anniversary. Daniel came trotting down the stairs with Everly on his shoulders. You grabbed your purse and fake gasped at your daughter, "Ev, how'd you get up there?" you exclaimed. She giggled and ruffled her hands in Daniel's hair, "Daddy put me here, silly!" she said back and Daniel tickled her sides, bringing her back down to the floor. "Alright lovebug, ready to go to Uncle Corbyn's?" Daniel said, taking the keys off the table. Everly nodded excitedly and the three of you got in the car.

"Am I allowed to play with Leo?" Everly said from the backseat. You looked at her from the rearview mirror, "Yes, but remember you're bigger than him so you have to be gentle." SHe smiled and nodded, "Okay, mommy. Daddy, will Uncle Zee be there?" Everly called Zach 'Uncle Zee' and it was the sweetest thing ever. Zach loved to play with her, even if it meant playing pretend as a princess or a fairy to keep her happy. It seemed as if she developed a different bond with each of Daniel's bandmates: Uncle Zee, Uncle Corbyn, Uncle Jack and Uncle Jo, as well as her Auntie Gabbie and Auntie Chris. You pulled up to Corbyn's house and walked straight to the backyard, little children and family spread about the yard and patio. "Hey, you're finally here!" Corbyn said, running over to hug you. "Shut up Corb, we're not even 10 minutes late." you said laughing, smacking his chest. "Where is my favorite Seavey?" Corbyn asked and both you and Daniel looked at Daniels legs, where Everly was hiding—very obviously—from her uncle. "No idea," you said dramatically, "Daniel have you seen her?" Daniel put his hands up in defense, "Nope." Corbyn pretended to think before walking towards Daniel, "Hmm, maybe she's right here!" he said excitedly. He reached behind Daniel and scooped her up high into the air. Everly burst into a fit of giggles as Corbyn pressed kisses to her cheek. "How did you find me?" she said in amazement. "I'm really good at hide and seek! Leo and Lav are over by your Auntie Gabbie if you want to go say hi." Corbyn said and put her down. She immediately ran over to them to play. "I'm gonna go say hello to everyone." Daniel smiled, kissing your cheek as he walked away. Corbyn suddenly pulled you into another hug and you were surprised, but hugged back. "I can't believe my baby is already two." Corbyn mumbled into your hair. "I can't believe mine is already five. She's getting too big too quickly." you chuckled softly, your cheek pressed against Corbyn's collar bone in the hug. He pulled away and smiled down at you. "I can't believe we grew up. Look at us, Y/N/N; families, happy as ever. I'm proud of us." he beamed and you chuckled, nodding in agreement. "I love you, Corbs." you said and he pouted his bottom lip. "I love you more, kid. Now let's go join the party, yeah?"

You were having a lot of fun. You got to have some girl time with Gabbie and Christina, along with other family and girlfriends. "Mommy, help! Uncle Zee is gonna get me!" Everly giggled from the yard, running away from Zach's slow jog. Jonah picked her up and ran away from Zach, laughing. "It looks like Uncle Jo's got you!" you yelled back, shaking your head with a grin on your face. Daniel set down a drink in front of you and sipped his lemonade casually. You raised an eyebrow and looked up at him from your seat. "I'm driving, drink the great beverage your wonderful husband made for you." he sassed playfully. You sipped your drink, smirking at him. "Can you believe that his is our life now?" Daniel chuckled, gesturing to Jack, Jonah and Zach playing with the kids while Corbyn barbecued. "We're some lucky people. Go play tag with them, the teams are uneven." you said, poking him in the side. Daniel let out a deep sigh and finshed his cup, "Alright, wish me luck. We may outnumber the kids but they have the power." Daniel breathed and you smacked his butt on his way past you. He held his butt dramatically and whined an 'ouch', making you laugh even harder.

The sun was starting to set and you sang Happy Birthday to your adorable nephew, watching him get birthday cake all over his face. Tons of pictures and videos of the kids were taken, and you were scrolling though a few of Leo and Everly when Christina came up behind you and hugged you. You put your arm over hers and leaned your head on hers. "You better send me those!" she said, pointing to your phone and you laughed. "I will, I will. Happy Anniversary by the way, Mrs. Besson." you said cheekily and she kissed your cheek. She pulled up a chair next to you, "You know, it's a special day for you too. Daniel proposed to you four years ago." she stated. You blushed at the memory of that beautiful day and smiled widely at her. "We really are blessed, aren't we?" you pondered contently and Christina smiled back, "Definitely."

After the party was over and you said your goodbyes, Daniel started driving somewhere other than home. "D, what are you doing? We need to get her to bed soon." you said, glancing at your sleepy toddler in the back seat. "I know, but we have one more stop, I promise it'll be worth it." Daniel said, smiling at the road. You sighed and gave in to whatever his mystery plan was. Suddenly, the road seemed very familiar. Daniel pulled the car into a gravel parking lot, turning the car off. You put your hand over your mouth, looking over to Daniel. He smiled softly and kissed your shoulder, whispering a 'come on'. He got Everly out of her carseat and held her in his arms, her exhausted body fast asleep on his shoulder. You grabbed Daniel's hand and walked through the sand over to those same public beach chairs. Daniel sat down and adjusted Everly on his side, patting his other leg for you to sit on. You cuddled up to his chest and took deep breaths, letting the smell of the water and cool night air fill your senses. "This is where we had our first date." Daniel stated and you hummed. "I remember, I used to call it the not-date-date because I was still in denial of my feelings for you." you chuckled softly and you felt Daniel's chest rumble. " know she's gonna be so tired tomorrow, but I really thought we should take her to the place where I first realized I was in love with you." he said quietly. You sat up a bit more to turn and look at Daniel's face. He looked beautiful under the moon's bright light and his eyes matched the ocean even at night. You stroked his cheek and kissed him gently, laying back down. "I've loved you for a decade and you've been mine for 4 of those years, yet you still find ways to make me fall for you all over again." He gushed, kissing your temple. "I love you, Daniel Seavey." you said, pure joy flowing through your veins. "I love you more, Y/N Seavey. Falling for you was the best thing that could've ever happened to me."
