Raglak ff: The time to Change

Laksh started the evening with his speech about their present project and cheering his hardworking employees. "So now, I would like to introduce an important person to you all." He looked directly at Ragini and said proudly "Ladies and gentleman put your hands together for my wife, Ragini Laksh Maheshwari." Loud gasps and cheering was heard. But Laksh ignored them and walked towards Ragini who was feeling shy about being in the spotlight. He took her soft hand and took her to the stage, all the while smiling at her. Everyone clapped their hands for them. They could see the spark and love they have for each other. Some women's dreams of marrying Laksh and becoming rich had busted out now, some men's dream of having Ragini on their bed at least for one time had already disappeared hearing the word 'wife'. But others were all truly happy for their boss and felt that they are 'perfect pair'. "So presenting, Ragini Laksh Maheshwari here!" Laksh said proudly and gave a menacing glare towards some men who were gawking Ragini from their entry.

Ragini was overwhelmed by the response of Laksh's employees. She just clings onto Laksh for support and gave everyone a small innocent smile. Laksh stares at his innocent wife and pecked her forehead in order to comfort her and so she relaxed under his kiss. The crowd awed at the scene in front of them. Ragini then gave her speech on being a proud wife.

Throughout the party, Laksh's business partners were amazed of Ragini's smartness and her knowledge on business. They thought she might be a model or housewife who doesn't know anything about business. But while conversing with Ragini, they got to know that she is beauty and brain and felt jealous of Laksh having such a wonderful wife. Some men tried to flirt with Ragini to get to know her more personally but Ragini avoided them by her smart and curtly ending sentences.

But there was this young business partner of Laksh, who actually found Ragini interesting and tried hard to keep conversation with her. His flirting was completely harmless and so Ragini spoke with him in same enthusiasm, whereas for Laksh, it was like adding gasoline on his already burning stomach. He wanted to interrupt their conversation and paste Ragini with his hip so that she won't be alone attracting some unwanted male attention. But he couldn't as many people were coming over and talking with him and he couldn't say no to them. He could just look at Ragini now and then so that she won't be out of his sight.

Finally, after long conversations, Laksh moved towards Ragini and interrupted their conversation saying "We have to go home." Ragini tried to read his facial expressions but couldn't because he was having a blank face. She just sighed and said bye to her new friend who kissed her on her cheeks and said bye. She was stunned for a moment and before she could overcome it, she felt heat releasing from Laksh's body.

Laksh couldn't do anything to that man who dared to kiss his wife's cheeks in front of him, as he was his business partner. Though it was innocent, Laksh felt like his right was brutally taken back from him. He clenched his jaw and took out a kerchief from his pocket and started to wipe her cheek where that man had kissed. Ragini felt Laksh's anger from the way his jaw was clenched but still, his touch on her cheek was soft like he was rubbing the dust off from a flower. She internally screamed in joy because her plan had succeeded 'bring out his possessive side'. She was sure that this night will be a turning point in their life.

Laksh was driving the car while Ragini was sitting next to him. She could still see his clenched jaws and blank face which he used to mask his frustration. She sighed and decided to move onto her next plan 'be bold'. She smiled thinking of Laksh's reaction. Finally they reached their home. Laksh was about to get down of the car and move towards the house, Ragini pulled his sleeve and said "Laksh, let's go for a walk in our garden." Laksh frowned hearing her. "At this time?" He asked and looked at his watch to find the time is already their sleeping time. "Haan now only!" Ragini said in commanding tone and started to walk towards their garden. Laksh sighed and followed her.
