Jack’s P.O.V

Y/n shot a powerful blast at Lucifer that was so bright, I too had to shield my eyes. As the light dimmed I looked to see Y/n was slowly losing consciousness, though she was fighting through it. When the light completely died she fell to the floor.

“Y/n!” I yelled. I ran over to her and turned her head facing me. Luckily she was still breathing. I let out a sigh of relief before my gaze shifted to Castiel’s lifeless body. I should bring his body back to the bunker too, I thought to myself. I looked over to where Lucifer had stood moments before only to see another set of wings burned into the floor and a pile of ash resting in the middle. I shook my head with the smallest of a smile before looking back to the couple in front of me.

Placing a hand on both Castiel and Y/n’s shoulder, I teleported us back to their room in the bunker. Carefully, I picked Y/n up and set her on the bed before pulling the blankets over her still unconscious body. I let out a sigh and picked up Castiel’s body and walked out of the room.

“Sam? Dean? Gabriel? Where are you guys?” I yelled through the bunker. I heard a shuffle towards the library area and started that way.

“In the Library.” Dean yelled. As I turned the corner he began to speak again. “How did it-.” He started before seeing Castiel’s body in my arms. All three men stood from the table shocked in silence. I gently placed his body on the table, not knowing where to lay him.

“Y/n?” Gabriel said in a grim voice. I looked over at him.

“She’s alive. She used all of her power on killing Lucifer, so she is unconscious in her bed.” I explained. Sam looked away from Castiel’s still bloody face.

“Did he, you know, before Lucifer?” He asked seeming to guess why Y/n was unconscious. I looked to Castiel again.

“Before.” I said making all three get sad. “She was so heartbroken. But in an instant, the heartbreak turned to rage. You could see it in her eyes. She used all her power to blast Lucifer with the brightest attack I’ve ever seen. Even I had to shield my eyes.” I explained still amazed how her power looked. Gabriel nodded.

“I’m going to go check on her.” He said in a quiet tone. I smiled a sad smile at him with a nod of understanding.

“We’ll go see her in a bit.” Sam said. Dean hadn’t said a word. He just looked at the floor with his arms crossed in frustration. We all stood in silence, thinking about what should be said.

“I knew we should have stayed to help.” Dean spoke in a tone just barely above a whisper. I shot my gaze to him.

“No. Had you been there, Lucifer would have killed you guys too. Y/n already lost her boyfriend. If she had lost her family too, she would be in worse condition than this. The only person to blame for this is Lucifer. And thankfully, Y/n took him off the board.” I lectured. Sam looked at me with his eyebrows raised and Dean just looked shocked.

“I guess you’re right.” He said with a nod. Silence took over once again. Dean looked at the body still lying on the table. “I need a beer.” He said walking to the kitchen. Sam muttered a ‘me too’ before following Dean. Not knowing what else to do, I too followed. Dean had grabbed three beers throwing Sam and myself each one before opening his and taking a long drink. Sam gave his brother a sad look before opening his as well. I set mine on the table, taking a seat on the chair closest.

“What are we going to do with his body?” I thought aloud, putting my head in my hands.

“I think a hunter’s funeral is the best thing.” Dean said finishing his beer. Upon realizing this he quickly turned for another. I heard a small swish of hair, indicating Sam shook his head in disagreement.

“I don’t think it is our thing to decide. Sure we’ve known Cas for years but Y/n was his girlfriend. I think it’s her call whether to give him a hunter’s funeral or not.” He countered. I lifted my head from my hands.

“I agree. It would be nice if we could give him a proper hunter’s funeral but in the end it is not our decision.” I said looking from Sam to Dean. He nodded slowly.

“That sounds fair to me. But where do we keep him until she wakes up?” Dean asked looking between me and Sam.

“We will have to put him in one of the spare rooms.” I said standing. Dean signed and Sam let out a mocking chuckle to which he got the middle finger. I shook my head and began to walk back to the library. As the table came into view, I stopped in my tracks, Sam and Dean almost running into me.

“Jack? Why did you-” Sam started but stopped mid sentence. Dean stood shocked, not moving a muscle. I couldn’t read their minds, but I knew they were thinking the same thing I was, ‘How?’.
