Getting shot wasn't that bad in the end

Alejandra's pov:
After a few critical situations, I finally had Hetty's Agent stabilized, to my utter relief since I know how much he not only means to Hetty but also to my dad. Now we are only waiting for her other agent to return so we can get him into a private room, where he can heal and hopefully wake up soon.
„The room is clear! Kensi is staying there till we get there. Deeks is holding the elevator for us. Are you guys ready?" he asks at the end in my direction.
„Ok, then let's head up there!" I say with a nod. One of the nurses that were surprisingly capable of their job, helps us into the elevator before going back to the OR.
„You look tired. Did you sleep at all last night?" Hetty questions me worriedly after she has watched me some time.
„Hadn't had any time. I was just going to go to sleep when you called." I answer her with a shrug.
„How long?" she asks squinting her eyes. Realizing that there are other people's around us I changed into our preferred foreign language, hating the thought of someone else getting to hear anything about my personal life.

This means it's a foreign language!

„Two days." I sigh out knowing I won't be able to lie to her.
„Overseas I had to do a last minute surgery and you know I can't sleep on a plane! At home I get my baby boy back, so Of course I played with him. And then I wanted to go to sleep, but that's when you called. Happy?" I answer her feeling like a scolded child.
„Love, You really need to start looking after yourself better than that! Your parents would be furious if they knew about that." she scolds gently, softly squeezing my hand as my eyes get teary.
„I know!" I reply sadly. But honestly, this time I really tried to sleep more than usual, but like I explained to her, there was no time for sleeping!
„We are here!" agent Hanna, one of her agents says confused. We quickly scoot the bed to the room and hook up all the monitors to Callen.
„why don't you go home now? Sleep some time? You said the critical situation is over." Hetty asks me motherly. I guess that is normal after looking after me for this long.
„Can't leave him fresh out of the OR to those idiots out there. They might get him killed again." I reply her with a sigh. She only looks worriedly at me, but she doesn't argue with me since she knows that I am right.
„I guess I should call someone to look after my baby boy." I say sad that I again was apart from him when I just got back to him this morning. „I can watch him, it's the least I could do. Just call when anything changes." Hetty says reassuringly.
„You don't have to Hetty. It's just till tomorrow anyway, since Dad is already on his way." I answer her, knowing she would prefer to stay with her agent.
„I could, you know watch him. I am a father of two so don't worry I know what to do." agent Hanna says unsure but determined.
„That's really nice and I appreciate it, but I don't think you could handle him." I answer him trying not to laugh since he thought my dog is a human.
„Why is that?" he asks irritated.
„Because he is a 3 year old pitbull. But thanks for the offer, I appreciate it!" I reply with a smile.
„Is he trained?" Deeks asks me with a hidden smirk.
„That he is indeed!" i answer him with the same smirk in place.
„I think he is a service dog then. Or at least a support animal, therefore he is allowed in the hospital." he explains with a wide smile.
„I go and get him for you so you can stay here and try to sleep for a bit. The other three are making sure everything is alright and nobody comes near mister Callen so no arguing." Hetty orders me with a pointed look.
„Of course." I say like the good girl that I am.
„And Hetty? Thank you!" I add as she was about to close the door.
„sleep tight love!" she answers with a soft smile. One of those really rare and special smiles.
„If anything should change with him or someone even tries to touch the doorhandl wake me please." I tell the three waiting teammates of Hetty. Curling myself on the bigger chair in the room and close my eyes. When I feel something being laid over me, I open my eyes sleepily.
„Sorry, i didn't mean to wake you. I just wanted to make sure you weren't getting cold." agent Hanna tells me quietly.
„Thanks!" I whisper back already half asleep again.

Someone licking my face wakes me up with a huge smile!
„Baby Boy! I missed you!" I tell him immediately hugging him into my chest!
„Aren't you just the cutest little thing!" I go on in showering him in all the love an affection he deserves.
„Alejandra? Mister Callen seems to stir a bit." Hetty says breaking up the love showing. Insert huge pout here! Slowly untangling myself from my baby, I squint some disinfectant on my hands and get to the patient. Checking his vital signs, also taking a look at his newly sewn wound.
„Go away!" i hear him mumble as I again put a strip on his wound.
„You are awake, that's a really good sign. Can you tell me what happened?" I say happy that he woke up that soon. Hetty and the rest of their team are beaming happily at him as well.
„Got shot again. Is the rest of my team alright?" he says before asking in a worry, seemingly not realizing that his team is right behind me.
„We are all fine. Thanks to you!" agent Hanna says with teary eyes.
„The suspect?" he asks.
„In prison, just like all his friends." Hetty answers him, softly taking his hand in hers.
„You scared us Mister Callen!" she adds strictly.
„Didn't do anything." he whispers sleepily from all the medication and the blood loss he had earlier today. A whine from next to me let's me look down on my baby.
„Why is Scooter here?" Callen asks irritated.
„Don't tell me you informed Gibbs." he says to Hetty in worry.
„I didn't, but he will be here shortly anyway. However for other reasons than you think." Hetty answers him and looks apologetic at me.
„can I get out of here?" Callen wants to know which slightly annoys me.
„Don't even think about leaving that bed! I just had your heart in my hands, LITERALLY, so don't try me!" I tell him strictly. His shocked face says it all. He like a lot of others thought I am a nurse and not a doctor, damn stereotypes.
„You are my doctor?" he questions not hiding his surprise.
„That i sure am. And since Hetty already told me about your hatred for hospitals, doctors and so on, I am warning you this once. If you try to get out of this bed without my ok, or try to go home without my allowance, I am going to sedate you. Your choice!" I tell him with my so called drill sergeant tone to make sure he understands that I mean business!
„Other than that, you are recovering like planned, even a bit better than planned. Still it will at least take a few days before your body will have produced your lost blood again, that's why I am giving you another blood transfusion at the moment." I explain to him but also the rest of the team. Seeing him taking a deep breath to say something I quickly shut him up.
„Don't even think about it!" i say in a challenge.
„I am not sure if it's good to have this many people around him. He needs to rest to heal." I tell Hetty with furrowed brows.
„You are right. I make sure they leave. It's late anyway. How long do you think he needs to stay here?" she answers me also switching language.
„hard to tell. It depends if he really is going to rest or not. At least 2 weeks. But I think it will take longer since he seems to be stubborn!" i tell her while looking pointedly at agent callen.
„Am not!" he answers me. Looking at him surprised, but not really caring that he understood that.
„I beg to differ Mister Callen! So listen to her so we get you back in no time!" Hetty tells him with a smirk.
„You realize that it's not polite to switch languages so we don't get what you are talking about." Deeks asks us with a roll of his eyes.
„My apologizes Mister Deeks, we just were talking about how you guys should head home now. It's late and Mister Callen needs to rest." Hetty informs them.
„Sorry to interrupt but we need to check on Mister Callen's wound." the two doctors from earlier today say.
„I already checked MY patients wound! So hands off before I seriously am going to not only hurt you beyond your wildest believes, but also sue every single one of you!" I seethe out totally pissed off! How dare them! And just like the fucking cowards they are, they ran off.
„The next one doesn't make it out in one piece!" I say out loud pissed at them.
„Jandra, Love , it's ok. They are not coming in again. You made your point clear!" Hetty try's to sooth me.
„I made my point clear 4 fucking times already!! So excuse me for a moment." I answer feeling myself getting angrier by each and every second. Let's have a small talk with their fucking boss!
