“Oh, Miss Believer. Were you looking for me?” a voice asked.
I snapped out of my thoughts to see Mad Gear standing in front of me.
“Oh-uh, Yes. Yeah I was looking for you Mad, I was wondering. Actually I heard a rumor floating around that you were starting your own gang,” Idiot.
“Who told you?” he hissed.
I bit my lip, “I uh, overheard a conversation the other day and was just curious to see if it was true,” stop talking, I backed away from him.
He raised an eyebrow, “So you’re interested in joining then?” he asked.
“Uh, um. Yes,” I utter, uncertainty laced in my voice.
He clapped his hands together, “Great, I’ll have someone come and get you tomorrow,” he stalked towards the exit, “Oh and by the way, don’t tell anyone else about it. I don’t want Helena finding out,” he walked away.
I let out a sigh of relief, before it hit me, ‘Oh good Believer. You’ve dug yourself a hole this time,’ I thought, shaking my head before making my way to my room.
I sat anxiously in my room, tapping my to a tune I recognised, but couldn’t name for the life of me.
A knock ceased my thoughts and I got up opening the door.
In front of me stood Basic, well her full name, which I found as bullying on Helena’s side, is Basic Bitch.“Miss Believer, I will be your escort. We have
to be quiet though,” she said, grabbing my hand and pulling me out the door. She led me to a small alley where a few other people were, I recognised some of them but not many.
“What are we doing?” I asked Basic.
She turned to me, “We’re waiting for Fragile Capricorn to come and get all of you. My mission was to get all of you out here and make sure you were safe until he came and got you,” she explained with a bored tone.
“Don’t you know the way?” I questioned.
She groaned, “Of course I know the fucking way. But it’s not my job to get you all there. That’s Fragile’s job,” she said.
I shrugged and walked over to a boy with bright green or maybe blue hair.
“So what’s your name?” I asked.
“My-My name is-is Ryan,” he stuttered out, biting his lip.
I roll my eyes, “I mean your code name,” scaredy cat.
“Code name?” he questioned.
My eyes widened and I finally realised something, Mad wasn’t only recruiting already existing gang members, but just random people.
I looked at the poor boy, “Don’t worry, pretend I didn’t say that. Why are you here?” I asked.
“I ah, wanna join the clique,” He answered.
I laughed, “I can tell that’s not why you’re really here."
“It’s none of your business why I am really here,” the boy, Ryan, states.
I shrug, “Fine whatever kid,” I say, looking around at the other people, then I spotted a familiar face.
“Hey Psycho, where’s Beauty?” I asked, walking over to him.
“She bailed, didn’t want to mess with the consequence of being caught,” He said, glancing around.
“Oh. Well then she’s a wuss,” I say, biting my lip.
He stared me in the eyes, “Holly is not a wuss Candice,” he said.
“Whatever,” I mutter, hearing a car engine in the distant.
“That’s it, see you twerps there,” Basic stated, running off into the darkness.
A car rolled up and a boy got out, “Sorry but Fragile was, ehem, busy so I’ll be your escort. My name is Dylan, but you will all address me as Aqua Opal until further notice. Everybody understand?” he asked.
