"Wow.." I said looking around the city through the window of Colby car. "It's better at night." Colby said. "I bet." I said then sighed. "Do you think we're stupid for doing this?" I asked and he shrugged. "Yea but we're gonna make the best of it." He said with a smile. "Why'd you wanna leave anyways?" I asked. "No reason." He said and I knew he was lying. "Tell me." I said and he shook his head, tightening his grip on the wheel. "It's nothing." He said and I rolled my eye but he couldn't see that I did. "Whatever." I said then turned away.
He placed his hand on my thigh then I looked at him and he had a apologetic look on his face. "Sorry I didn't mean to be rude. It's just problems with my friends that's all." He said and I gave a small smile. "It's fine." I said then he nodded, smiling back.
We got to the hotel lobby and it was full of volleyball kids, I wasn't surprised. There is always a sport team in every hotel. We checked in and our room was at the 11th floor. "This hotel is beautiful." I mentioned. "I picked the best one." He said and throwing his bag over his shoulder, smirking at me. "You did." I said then he chuckled as we walked into the elevator. "Are you gonna want to go out tonight?" I asked. "How about we go out tomorrow night, the drive was tiring." He said and I nodded in agreement. "You're right. Tomorrow works." I said as we got out of the elevator. We walked down the long hallway to our hotel room.
The hotel room only had one bed but I didn't mind. We've slept in the same bed before. I set my bag down then walked into the bathroom to use it real quick since I've been needing to pee for about 2 hours now. After I flushed the toilet I walked over to the sink and washed my hands. I looked up in the mirror and realized how messy my hair was. Gross. I grabbed the brush in my bag and brushed threw it making it look better. I turned to leave the bathroom then Colby scared me, he was standing against the door frame. "Jesus." I said holding my hand on my heart. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." He chuckled. "It's all good."
