~Y/n's POV~

I could hear my heartbeat thudding in my ears, the area was dead silent except for the occasional bird chirping and my heavy breathing. I felt extremely dizzy and leaned against the closest object near me, which happened to be a massive oak tree.

I groaned as my head pounded like it had been hit with a club. How did I get here? Where is here?

I heard something rustle behind me and I quickly spun around, nearly toppling over in my haste and fear. It took me a few moments to figure out what had made the sound, a small black lizard with a blue tail. I sighed in relief, it could've been something much worse.

I squatted down and the lizard skittered away from me at high speed. It was incredible how such a small thing could move so quickly.

I used the tree I had been leaning against to help me back to my feet and looked all around the general area. I was clearly in a forest, and judging by the orange, yellow, and red leaves on the ground and trees it was autumn.

I watched the leaves fall as a breeze swept through the woods and I realized what must've happened. I had panicked (obviously) and timelined jumped for the first time in 5 years.

At least it was a peaceful place, or so I hoped. Typically I didn't timeline jump to places where nothing interesting was happening.

Should I stay here and wait until I jump back into the present timeline? I could use a break. But my curiosity was also peaked, this place looked oddly familiar. I couldn't put my finger on it though. Something about the golden flowers on the ground struck a cord.

The fallen leaves crunched under my feet as I walked through the familiar forest, it was quite relaxing actually. It was a beautiful day. Birds were singing in the distance and a few flowers were blooming.

I noticed something peeking through the gaps in the leaves above, I must be walking towards something massive. I reached a small clearing and gaped at the enormous mountain ahead of me. I immediately knew where I was, despite being many miles away from the base of the mountain. I was at Mt. Ebott.

I sighed as several memories came swimming into my brain. I sat down on the warm sun-bathed grass and engulfed in the thoughts.

I sniffled as I opened the front door to my home, tears soaking my face. Mom and dad weren't home yet, maybe I could cover up the bruises before they returned.

I slumped my backpack onto the ground and a small fluffy white dog ran towards me from the kitchen. I smiled as the dog jumped on me, barking excitedly. I bent down and lovingly pet my dog, at least there was one someone who really cared for me.

I winced as one of my bruises throbbed, I pulled up my sleeve and saw a large reddish mark on my forearm. I sighed, sniffed again, and stood up to go upstairs.

I had changed into a long sleeved shirt so that almost all the bruises were covered up. The only one I didn't know how to hide was the one on my face. I stared into the bathroom mirror and gingerly touched the large mark, a few tears welling up in my eyes as I remembered what those girls did to me.

Karen had thought that her boyfriend was cheating on her with me because she had seen us talking at lunch. So, after school, her and her group of friends ambushed me while I was walking home. Stupid Karen. All we were talking about was what we were going to do on the class project.

I ravaged one of the drawers, hoping to find some makeup to cover up the bruises. But even if I did find some, I had no idea how to use makeup. I sighed as I heard the front door click open, signifying that my mom had come home from work.
