The Moon Goddess' Challenge

The moment I had returned from my run, I found out that Evanora had left.

"Why the hell did you let her leave?!" I yelled at Delta while pushing him up against the wall roughly.

"There was nothing we could do.? He says.

"Oh my god, put him down." I heard Beta say from behind me.

"Why did you guys let her leave by herself?" I asked him.

"Like he said. There was no stopping her. Besides, you were the one who just took off without hearing her side or anything first." He points out.

"Yeah well, she should have told me." I tell him.

"Well it doesn't matter now because she is on her way to Ireland to meet up with that lady her and Payton had talked about." He says.

"Fuck!" I shout while gripping my hair in frustration.

"She left not that long ago to the airport." He says.

"Shit. Okay, I'm gonna go upstairs and pack some things then I need someone to take me to the airport."

"I will." Beta offers.

I quickly hurry and toss a few pairs of clothes in my backpack and my phone charger then wallet before hurrying downstairs and having Beta take me to the airport.

I was able to reserve the last seat available and had made it just right before they were about to close the gate for getting on the plane.

After the girl took my ticket and checked me out, I hurried onto the plane.

Panting, I started immediately looking around for my seat but also looking for of course, Evanora.

I find my seat and notice that Evanora is in the row next to my seat and notice a guy is sitting next to her while she looks out the window.

"Excuse me Sir, can I please trade you seats? I would like to visit my fiance." I ask him nicely.

"Screw you. There's a reason these seats are numbered buddy." He states while not making eye contact with me and focusing on whatever is on his phone.

I wanted to throw him out of the seat and now Evanora was looking at me surprised.
So instead of making a scene and getting kicked off, I instead reached in my back pocket for my wallet and took out a few hundred dollars then handed it to him, making him switch seats.

I placed my backpack underneath my seat as I sat next to her I looked at her as she looked back at me for a brief moment and then I took her hand and entwined our fingers with each others.

"I'm sorry for how I reacted." I begin.

"It's okay. I understand. But you shouldn't have come." She tells me.

"Neither should you. There has to be another way we can fix this." I begin.

"Payton and I had tried for years. Even the council of Witches did. There's no one else that can do this and take it away. I mean, I hurt your guys, Payton and almost you. I fear that there is nothing else." She says before looking away to wipe away a few tears.

I turn her head back to look at me and hold her face for a moment.

"Listen to me. We are together. That means that no matter the other is going through, we will be there for each other. Now I don't know exactly why this is so dangerous and why Payton wouldn't tell us, but if this procedure is too painful and or dangerous then please don't do it." I try and plead.

She takes hold of my hand on the side of her face and smiles at me.

"There's something I've been wanting to tell you." She begins.

"What's that?" I asked moving in closer towards her.

"I love you." She says.

I stop and look at her with a big smile before I say anything.

"And I love you."

We lean in then and give each other a kiss on the lips. I start to mind link the guys and ask them to still watch after Payton but they tell me that she came back as soon as he returned from taking me to the airport and has asked us to come with her to meet up at the airport in Ireland and that there's a flight leaving soon.

I was about to tell Evanora but she seemed to have fallen asleep as she laid her head onto my shoulder and is now sleeping.
