Bunga's opened quickly. "Kion!"

Still feeling a bit weak from before he stood up on his paws and stood still for a moment to stop the swirling in his head. Once the dizziness died down he took a look around.

"Whoa! Where am I?", Bunga gasped aloud. Wherever he was a very dark. The surface beneath is paws was soft. Taking a whiff in the air he was met with the familiar scent of wet foliage, a scent that hung around after a rain in Hakuna Mattata Falls. His eyes adjusted to the dim light to reveal dense green plants around him. Beneath his feet was a layer of fallen leaves and grass.

"Okay, seriously. Where am I?", Bunga huffed. He remembered touching that crazy mark on Kion's shoulder and....Now he's here. He began to think that he was knocked out and this was some kind of dream. But that couldn't it. Bunga was aware that if he was to dream it would usually be something like an adventure, endless grubs or even being the new king of the Pride Lands. He ruled out a dream as the plants beneath his feet and a careful touch of a broad leaf that lay in front of him both felt very real.

Bunga looked up and blinked in surprise. The sky above was pitch black, no stars twinkling above or even a moon, and yet the forest itself had some kind of light source filtering through the treetops. He began to feel uneasy just standing there and began to walk forward, hoping that something that made sense would come along.

"Hey! Anyone here? Hello? Kion?", Bunga yelled at the thick vegetation all around him. He took a moment to stop and listen for a response. Nothing called back. Bunga gave a sigh starting to wonder of he would be stuck here. Was this some kind of trap that Kopa step up? The very idea that this whole dark forest thing is some kind trap started to make him paranoid. Usually when he started to feel scared he would find a way to fight the problem away, but how can he fight a whole forest?

While Bunga was freaking out over his own thoughts his ear flicked and he froze right there. He stood there in position, not daring to move and sure enough he heard the sound clearly. It was a shout; not just any kind of shout, it was a shout he recognized as the voice of Kion. It sounded so close and clear, just ahead of him. He took off forward, pushing plants out of the way and jumping through dense foliage. The branches and thorns that attempted to scratch of jab at him had no effect in stopping him. He burst through more greenery to see Kion laying on the ground, his body littered with scratches and cuts.

"Kion! Kion, are you alright?!", Bunga whined, running to the lion.

"Bunga? What are you doing here?", Kion asked, starting to get up.

"I don't even know. I just touched your shoulder and ended up here...! But I came here to save you", Bunga answered. Kion stood up and looked down at the honey badger with eyes of concern.

"Bunga, you have to get out of here", Kion warned.

"No way!", Bunga shook his head. "I'm not leaving here without you."

"Bunga--I....", Kion tired to explain but was cut off by a wicked laugh. "Quick! Get behind me!"

Bunga did what he was told but still looked beyond Kion to see what they were up against.

"I see that you are not finished yet!", a voice sounded all around the both of them. Bunga looked back and forth trying to pinpoint the foe. "I also see that you brought a little friend."

"No! This is between you and me!", Kion snarled, making Bunga flinch for a second. He never liked seeing Kion angry and the setting combined with a weird evil voice didn't help him at all.

"Very well. But the more the merrier!", a harsh wind suddenly picked up in the forest. Bunga looked around at all the branches and leaves violently swaying and being blown into the air. Bunga watched in disbelief as the shadows of the forest themselves actually moved towards one central point, swirling together into a tangible shape. The figure laughed to itself and finished building his form. Both Kion and Bunga took a fearful step back as the lion known as Scar, with a body made of a black haze.
