You yawn and sit up. You look around your tent and sigh. You walk out of your tent and look and the baby blue sky.
You squint your eyes and get adjusted before you decide to do some fishing. You grab your fishing rod and bucket and head down the river.
You sit down and cast your rod, placing your bucket down next to you.
In the meantime you'll just relax till you get a bite. You lean back and watch the rod, waiting till you get a bite. You hadn't seen Snufkin so you assumed he was at the Moomin's. You notice your rod shake so you quickly pull it out of the river.
This was a decent sized catch. You unhooked it and plopped it into your bucket, casting your rod out again. You sighed and looked up at the sky, watching the fluffy white clouds go by.A little while later, after you had caught about three fish you decided that was good enough. You wanted to catch enough for both you and Snufkin in case he wanted some at lunch time. You set down your rod and bucket.
"Y/N! Y/N! Its Snufkin, come quickly!" You turn around to see Moomin frantically running towards you.
This frightens you, and and quickly stand up from your crouching position. "What happened Moomin?" You ask, worried. "It's Snufkin! He was just coughing a bit, saying he was fine it was just a cold, but then suddenly he just passed out!" He says, taking your hand and running with you to Moomin house. You sighed, this is what you feared. You didn't want Snufkin catching a cold, but this cold was different. It kind of basically made you extremely cold, like how your leg was after The Groke touched you. It wasn't all that dangerous but it was common for you to pass out, as your body is shocked by the sudden chill. It wasn't anything serious, he should be fine if he stays inside with a blanket and all. Moomin rushed into the house and you were greeted by Snufkin unconsciously laying by the fire wrapped in a few blankets, with Moominmama sitting next to him, waiting for him to wake up. You were glad Moominmama was aware of what kind of cold it was. Moomin rushed over to Moominmama and you sighed and closed the front door, and walked over to Moomin. You sat down next to Moominmama and smiled. You looked up at Moomin who looked at him with a worried expression. "Don't feet to much. He just has a certain kind of cold. If he stays warm it shouldn't be to serious, it should only last for about two day. He'll be fine." You explain softly, and you look down at his sleeping body. The top of his nose is pink and his ears are too, from the cold. You could tell the pink was disappearing as he got warmer though. You sighed and smiled. Moominmama stood up and gestured for Moomin to follow her when you weren't looking, and together they left into the kitchen. You lifted up his head so it was resting on your lap. You look down at him as caress his soft face. You smile as you can tell it's starting to heat up, and his face is returning to its normal colour. "Hm, silly. I told you'd catch a cold." You smiled, talking to him in just above a whisper.
You stare softly at him, appreciating every feature of his. You look over to see his hat sitting on the floor not to far from where your sitting. You smile as you spot an almost dead leaf he must have forgotten to take out. You take it out of his hat and throw it into the fire.
You play with his scarf, gently wrapping it around your finger. You dropped the scarf and watched as it landed on his chest. You sighed and looked back at Snufkin's face. You expected him to be asleep but he's looking at you with a smirk on his face. You scream and jump away from him. You pant and place your hand over your heart as Snufkin laughs. You grab a pillow from the couch and throw it at him "Snufkin! You scared me!" You say, trying to make it sound like you were angry. "How long were you awake for?" You ask.
"Quite a while. Ever since Moomin came in the door with you I stirred. No one had noticed I was awake though, so I decided to pretend I was still asleep." He smirked. You narrowed your eyes at him before giggling and taking the pillow you just threw at him and placed it back on the couch. You sighed and walked over to him, who was now sitting up. "How are you feeling?" You ask, sitting next to him. "Sick." He says with a smirk. You gasp "nooo!" You say sarcastically. He chuckles and you smile. You place your head on his shoulder as you both stare into the fire. Moominmama comes in with a few cups of tea. You sit up straight and take your head off his shoulder as Moominmama hands both of you a cup. You both thanks her and she nods, smile on her face. Moomin and Moominmama sit on the couch sipping their tea. You look look back at the fire.
"They're so cute together." Moominmama whispers to Moomin not-so-quietly and they both giggle. You blush but Snufkin doesn't seem to have heard what she said. You smile and look down at your knees, trying to hide your blush. You take a sip of the tea. You had had this tea before but Moominmama hasn't made it before. You believe you had it somewhere in a cafe up south, you think it was called "green tea"?
You looked back up at the fire and watched the flames dance around.
Suddenly the door bursts open causing you to break out of your trance and making everyone turn their heads to the door. There stood Little My, except she wasn't so little? You look down at her feet and she she has mini stilts on. You laugh. "Where'd you find those?"
"Near a stream in the woods." She states proudly. "Well those could have been someone's Little My. You can't just take whatever you find." Snufkin says. "Well I know it was nobody's because they were half buried in the dirt! It was obvious they were they for a while, duh." She rolls her eyes. Snufkin sighs and takes a sip of his tea. It seems on cue as the stilts buckle from underneath her and she falls to the floor. Everyone gasps. "Little My are you okay?" You ask standing up. She starts laughing and sits up. "I could tell they were going to break at any time, I just didn't expect it to be right now. You smiled and shook your head. You held out your hand and she took it, and you helped her stand up. She threw the stilts in the fire using them as firewood. Everyone finished the tea and Moominmama takes the cups to the kitchen. You sigh. How had it gotten dark already? You hear Moomin yawn. "I think we'd better go to bed. Little My would you like to stay? I wouldn't like for you to walk home in the dark like that." Moomin says, motioning to the window. Little My shrugs and walks up the stairs. You and Snufkin walk upstairs to the guest room. Moominmama said she doesn't want Snufkin to be sleeping out in his tent if he wants to get better faster, so he's sleeping here. "Alright, goodnight Snufkin." You say, watching him walk over to the bed. He smiles and you close the door, passing Moomin who was going up while you were going down. "Goodnight Moomin!" You yelled up to him as you walked out the door. "Goodnight Y/N!" You hear him yell down to you before you close the door. You closed the door and skipped over to your tent. You sighed and crawled inside, and laid down on your bed and close your eyes.Word count: 1379
I'm sorry for such a short chapter and me publishing chapters so late, I just haven't been feeling that inspired lately, and I'll try to wrap up the story.
