I walk into the middle of the training field and everyone immediately goes quiet and still when they see me. I keep a steady pose, with my arms behind my back and my chin slightly pointing upward, I yell out, "All Rebels! Come stand in a line in front of me right this instant!"
The Rebels all stand up and run over to me, the newer Rebels have a hard time getting into a neat line and in the right pose, but the older Rebels know the drill so they get into the correct position quite easily.
"I am very disappointed in all of you, we all trusted you to train without a trainer, but I come to see this," I cross my arms and shake my head in frustration. "I guess I'll have to train you myself." No one knows what kind of teacher I am since I've never really trained anybody, but they'll find out soon enough.
"Everyone up against the building wall, let's get started," I say and pull out my pistol. "The only rule, dodge the bullets," I lift up my gun to them and all their faces go white. "Go!"
I begin to shoot at different Rebels, and they do quite well, except for the taller ones since they have to duck every time I aim for their head and they're quite slow when ducking. Some of them get shot, but usually only in the arm or leg, which I just send them to the infirmary.
I then begin to have the Rebels fight each other in duels, of course the older Rebels win against the newbies more often because they're more experienced, so I've decided for some of the older Rebels to fight against me.
The ninth Rebel tries to slice my stomach with a dagger, but I jump back and shoot my gun to the side of his head, I did this on purpose because I can't kill a very experienced Rebel, Edd would kill me. He then pulls his gun out of his holster to shoot, but I shoot with my pistol at his hand to make him drop it, I succeed and he drops the gun. Before he can grab his gun, I dash toward him, spin, and kick his knees, he falls down on to the rough ground. I grab his wrists and hold them tightly on his back, he screams from the pain of his arms being pulled back.
"I hope you all were paying attention," I say and let go of his arms, I stand up and look to the crowed. "Who's next?"
Everyone stays quiet, until a younger and shorter girl raises her hand. She doesn't look eighteen at all, she looks about sixteen at least. She has her light brown hair in a long ponytail and light blue eyes. She has the regular training outfit on, but she also has a dark blue bandaid on the bridge of her nose and bloody bandages on her hands that cover her knuckles and palms.
"Aren't you a bit young to be a official offense Rebel young lady?" I ask, expecting her to be a teenager that snook into training.
She puts her hands behind her back in a neat way and says, "Sir I may be only sixteen, but I was accepted to be an offense Rebel by the recruiter for offense rebels, they saw my past fighting experience and decided I'm adequate enough to fight for the Rebels."
"Well alright, show me what you got,"
"Yes Sir,"
The girl walks into the arena created by the crowed of Rebels and stretches before getting into fight position. I look to where her holster should be to see what gun she has, but instead of a holster, she has a small sheath with a dagger instead. I smile from this, she's dependent on melee weapons.
I decide to make it fair by throwing my gun to the side and pulling out my dagger from the sheath attached to the other side of my belt, she smiles from this.
I decide to test her dodging skills by dashing toward her and slicing at her, but she only jumps back every time I slice. She stops me by going to stab me, but I flip backwards and land on my feet to dodge it.
She tries to knock me down by sliding on to the floor and trying to kick my feet to trip me, but I just jump up before her legs can hit my feet. She gets up quickly and catches me off guard when she slices my cheek, I jump back and touch my cheek, it's bleeding. I only chuckle from this and say, "You're a good opponent."
She smiles and says, "Thank you Sir-" I take the opportunity to spin, kick up which she dodges, but then I slide down on to the floor and kick her legs, this catches her off guard and she falls, dropping her slightly bloody dagger.
I step on her chest to keep her down and I say, "Good job, you got a hit on me, not many can do that." Everyone cheers as I take my foot off her and hold my hand out to help her up, she grabs my hand and I pull her up.
"You should probably get that bandaged Sir..." She says and points to the bleeding cut on my cheek.
"First, What's your name?"
"Brooklyn, Sir,"
"Well Brooklyn, I see very good potential in you,"
"Thank you again Sir,"
I turn toward the crowed and say, "Alright Rebels, training is over for today! Go to your dorms and just relax for the rest of the day."
"Yes Sir!" The Rebels say then leaves the field, including Brooklyn.
With these Rebels, I have a feeling that the Red Army won't last forever. But I'm going to be the one to kill the Red Leader.
