"So it's like a slumber party?" I ask Edd with a slight smile.
"It's not a party, it's a three day trip to America to participate in a friendly debate between the Defenders and the Offenders.. This year there just happens to be a problem with most of the hotels there, so we're forced to share a hotel with the Offenders." Edd says with a disappointed sigh, which makes me frown. "The only exciting thing about this trip is the fact that the trip is paid for by the debate group who's invited us there and we're staying in one of the biggest and fanciest hotels in New York."
"I don't know about you, but that sounds pretty damn fun to me," I say and Edd glares at me, I can tell Edd's still mad at me from the fight we had a week ago.
"You know Tom.." Edd begins, but then he looks at me and goes silent before sighing. "Nevermind..."
I go to ask what he was going to say, but then Matt bursts into the room with a excited smile as he shouts, "We're going to New York! Woop woop!!" Matt then dances in celebration and I smile.
"Oh yeah, it was always your dream to go to New York City right Matt?" I ask Matt with a smile.
"Yeah! Ever since I was a little boy! And it's especially exciting since we're going to the biggest hotel there! I feel like I'm going on vacation!" Matt says happily which makes me feel good that he feels good, since he's been acting down for several weeks now.
"Yeah, for three days that is. It's not as long as a real vacation would be-" I smack Edd's shoulder and glare at him. "What?"
"Stop being such a baby, we had a fight. But so what? I'm not mad at you anymore, so maybe you should get over yourself and stop being so rude." I say to Edd and Matt frowns.
"I think I'll just let you guys be alone for awhile.." Matt says with a fake smile before shuffling out of the room with a sad look.
"Wait Matt-" I try to call out, but he's already closed the door behind him. I then pinch the bridge of my nose in annoyance as I step away from Edd. "Jesus fucking Christ Edd."
"What? What did I do?" Edd asks and crosses his arms, I turn to him.
"Will you just stop?!" I exclaim and turn to him.
"Stop what?!"
"Stop putting everyone down!" I shout and Edd flinches. "Matt was just super excited for a trip to New York like any normal human would be after being stuck inside a building for months, then you go ahead and make it seem like it's nothing!" Edd moves his eyes away and I step toward him in a intimidating way and he rubs his arm. "I know you're upset with me Edd," I take another step and press a finger on to his chest, he looks at me with furrowed eyebrows. "But don't you dare drag Matt into your petty, unwanted feelings."
