"Why? She's going to end up dead" I said

"Because she put her faith in me. She chose to trust me in spite of what I am. I'm going to bet on somebody's instincts, it's going to be hers" he said

"Well, then, that makes you the biggest idiot of them all" I said

"She chose to trust you, too, and that's because of Alexa" he said

"Then maybe you shouldn't be so sure about their instincts"  I said and look at him taking a
drink from my glass and throw the rest away before leaving

Alexandra POV
I join Elijah in the library

"You'd think he'd understand why Elena's willing to do this" I said

I touch the elixir bottle and lift it upright

"Why would do you think she is?" He asked

"She's the key to breaking the curse. Klaus is here because of her. She feels if she don't stop him, then he's going to hurt people. It's that simple" I said

"You know, there's a possibility this elixir won't work and you know that. Your a witch you know your way around spells. I don't want us to mislead her" he said

"She knows the chance she's taking" I said

Nobody POV
They hear Jenna and Alaric near the front door so they go there

"Get out!" Jenna said

"Jenna, Jenna!" Alaric said

"Get out!" She said and has a crossbow trained on him

"Jenna, put the crossbow down, okay? It's me" he said

"Stay away from me" she said

Alexa, Elena, Stefan, Damon and Elijah join them

"What's going on?" Alexa asked

"It's me, Alexa, I swear, okay? He let me go. Klaus let me go" he said

"It's really him, it's not Klaus" Alexa said

"I don't believe it, prove it" Damon said

Alaric looks at Jenna "Okay, uh, first night you and I spent together, Jeremy walked in right when I was about to...

"Okay, it's him" she said and lowers the crossbow

"Why did he let you go?" Stefan asked

"He wanted me to deliver a message. The sacrifice happens tonight" he said

"So you don't remember anything that happened?" Stefan asked

"No. It's like I blacked out and woke up three days later. Katherine was there" he said

"She's under compulsion. Damon snuck her some vervain, but she can't leave until Klaus tells her she can" Stefan said

"Where is Damon?" Alexa asked

"I saw him go upstairs" Jenna said

Alexa gets up and leaves

"So what else did I do?" Alaric asked

I go up to Damon's bedroom, he's standing by the window looking out

"You disappeared" I said

"I don't want to hear anymore" he said

"I need you to understand why we're doing this" I said

"Why? It clearly doesn't matter what I think" he said
