The Vamps Preferences

It was getting close to the end of high school. And there's only one thing that's on people's minds at this time (other than exams) and that is prom. All the girls get pretty, sparkly dresses, fake tan, pretty nails, hair done and make up done. All the boys get there suits and ask for a girl to go with. I didn't really expect anyone to ask me but if I had a choice of the boy that I wanted it to go with, it would definitely be Connor. He's so cute and I can't think of anything else to say... He's perfect. I doubt he even knows my name.

It got closer and closer to the day. Everyone was talking about their dresses and what their hair is going to be like but I couldn't but feel slightly distracted. I didn't know why.

It was the day before prom and everyone was getting really excited. I was just about to go into lunch with my friends when Connor came over and got my attention.

"Do you want to go to prom with me?" He asked nervously.

I was speechless and it took one of my friends to nudge me before I realised I still had answered him.

"Ermm... Yeah... Yeah... Yeah." I stuttered slightly.

"I'll pick you up about 6." He replied and then walked away.

I was so happy and my friends then didn't stop talking about how they were going to help me to get ready for it tomorrow.

Prom came and Connor was at my front door at exactly 6 o'clock. I was so happy and nervous at the same time. He said my dress was nice and I looked really pretty.

We got to the venue of prom and had some pictures taken together before we went different ways and had pictures taken with our own friends. We weren't that far away so I could here everything that his group of friends were saying.

"Well done I can't believe you did it." One of his friends said.

"It was totally worth the bet to see her face when you went up to her and asked her." Another one said.

I automatically knew that they were talking about me which made my heart drop. I thought Connor was a genuine boy not one of those fakes but it was obvious that I was wrong.

"I actually can't believe you. I thought I could trust you but I obviously couldn't. And you thought this was ok just for a bit of money. One of those lads things. Peer pressure made you do it? I thought you were better than this. Delete all the pictures of the two of us and stay as far away as possible for the rest of the night. I don't even want to look at you anymore. And you've just ruined the whole night. Well done Connor, well done!" I shouted at him in front of everyone in my year group.

I didn't see Connor for the rest of the night and I wasn't even sure if he stayed at the venue but it didn't matter because I didn't care anymore.

Two years later and I'd just gotten over the Connor Ball issue. I'd met someone new and we'd started going out on a few dates. I wanted some ice cream to eat while I was watching a film in bed at home. I went to the local shop to get some but on my way back I saw someone that I recognised. It was Connor. It was slightly awkward as neither of us knew what to say. He took hold of my hand and pulled me down a back street. He leant in and kissed me.

"What was that for?" I asked.

"I've not stopped thinking about you since the day it happened." He replied...
