(Alternate) Steven Universe x Corrupt gem reader Insert

"garnet! pearl! amethyst!" called Steven as he entered the beach home, with you squeezing your way into the narrow door frame, centi nestled comfortably in your mane.

as you made your way in, pearl almost immediately stood up in alarm. "whoa, why aren't those things outside?" you pouted, wrinkling your muzzle at the rather uptight pearl. can't you at LEAST acknowledge us by NAME? Steven didn't seem to notice, as he was still beaming in elation. "I've trained them up! watch!" he suddenly flaps his arms like a bird. "Squawk!" at this, centi emerges from your mane and spits a wad of acidic spit toward the gems, striking a wooden beam of the house, melting it. he then raises his arms, in a representation of a bear. "raah!" this prompts you to spit up an energy orb, hurling it past garnet's head and I to the wall behind her, taking out a small portion of it. Steven then makes a bird gesture with this hands. "Squawk!" at this point, pearl stood up and began walking towards you all in agitation. "steven, you can't just-" a wad of acid suddenly strikes the fridge beside her, melting a photo of her in the process. amethyst laughs in amusement at this. "that was awesom-" Steven suddenly reared up, flapping his arms again. "Squaar!" this time, you and centi spat at the same time, forming a crackling ball of acid, which struck the sandwich that was in her hand, falling to the floor, sizzling and crackling as it melted. the purple gem suddenly grasps her head. "NOOO! MI TORTAAAA!!"

as amethyst grieves for her loss, pearl finally turns to steven, quite angrily. "Steven this is unacceptable!" Steven took out a bag of chips and gave some to you and centi. "oh come on, pearl!" he reaches up and itches behind your horns, while centi nips at your mane, preening it gently. "they can help us on like missions and stuff!" pearl was quick to object. "oh no! out of question!" this bummed the boy out, while centi rested herself between your horns, chirping contently. "well, we can't return to the ice cavern now." pearl stated. "we have to deal with steven and his..." her eyes flickered between you and the roosting centi. "...situations." indignant at her way of referring to you both, you stick your tongue out at pearl, which still glowing from the energy it generated, prompting pearl to scoff indignantly.

"well, I dunno how we're getting through that ice cavern without causing a cave in anyway." amethyst spoke, having gotten over the grief of her lost "torta". garnet inspected you both, silently.

you sighed, exposing your still glowing (color) mouth, as steam rose from the sides of it, while centi rested comfortably on your head, her beak hanging of the side of it, dripping steaming acid into the floor, putting yet another hole into the home.

"that's how."

"I just don't know if this will work.." pearl doubted as you all trekked through the ice cavern, you and centi leading the way with steven at your side. you glare thinly. can't you have faith in us 'things' just ONCE? "sqwuaar!" at steven's command, you and centi spat a powerful acid orb at a wall in front of you, melting a large hole into it. "alright, (name) and centipeedle!" praises steven, giving you both some chips. you climb in, a determined glint in your eyes.

shooting star, here we come!

from there, you and centi both aided the crystal gems on their journey to the so called; 'shooting star' using your energy orbs and acidic spit to obliterate any obstacles in your path. this is it! you thought excitedly, trotting through the caverns, a giddy bounce in your step. my first journey as a crystal gem! and I'm doing great! you then felt centi pecking at your mane, getting rid of the many rock shards and pebbles that became lodged in it from all the crawling and tight squeezes you had encountered. you smile to yourself as a purr rumbled in your throat. and sweet little centi. We're doing great. We're going to make spectacular partners in heroism!
