An exasperated growl escaped Satomi as she sat back in her chair glaring at the celing. A permanent frown had gradually settled on her face after she sat down with the books she'd collected. A feeling of discouragement filled her as her eyes roamed up the endless, tall bookshelves of the magic library. There just had to be something here that could help her. It was the only place she could think of that had this kind of information.

She tried closing her eyes again, letting the small portion of the power from her father which she hadn't sealed away search for her, looking one more time if she could find something that felt familiar. There was nothing. Another heavy sigh escaped her as she sat up and picked the book she had been previously reading, back up. Her gaze wandered over the the large stack of books on the desk infront of her. A few of them had called out to her when she searched the first couple of times. At first it had gotten her hopes up that perhaps there was a way for her to succeed. But as she read one book after the other, she'd discovered that there were just old stories and myths. All which turned out as incorrect. Satomi turned her attention back to the book in her lap, skimming through the pages in a bored fasion, supporting her chin on a and she'd porped up on the armrest of the chair. Nothing of interest presented itself to her. After two hours she'd finished the book, with a sigh she put it back on the table with a thud. She stared at it for a few seconds, sadness washing over her features. She reached out for the next book, but as she placed it in her lap she had no motivation whatsoever for diving into it. A small break can't hurt... She eventually admitted to herself, she hadn't eaten since breakfast, and desperately needed to let her mind rest for a bit. The overhanging message of death and destruction wasn't doing much for her mood. she reached into her bag retrieving a small lacrima and a box of meatstew she'd prepared on her way to the library. She settled with her feet on the desk, beside the Lacrima she'd just gotten out. With a small gesture it turned on projecting a hologram of the magic games. Originally her intention had been to watch part of today's final competition as she ate, but as she finished her food she just couldn't get herself to turn it off. Her gaze glued to the hologram the entire time the competition lasted. She cheered loudly as Natsu and Gajeel eventually came out victorious against the two dragonslayers in sabertooth.

The book satomi had picked out to read next still laid on the desk, she stared at it reluctantly, still not feeling motivated to read. She looked at the time from the clock hanging on a wall to her right. She had time for another book, the realization made her roll her eyes in disinterest. Finally she moved her legs down from the desk and picked the book back up, taking a look at the title.

"Weapons of destruction.... Huh" The gray haired mage scoffed at the book as she opened it slowly looking at the table of contents, none of it looked relevant, but she wanted to be thorough. she continued to skim through the pages of the book, glancing at some of the drawings. Most of these so called weapons were creations of Zeref, another frown crept onto her face as she pondered, her guild mates had sighted him on tenrou hadn't they? She wondered what he had been doing there. The curse of contradiction, she'd read about it earlier in one of the previous books, it was one of very few subjects she'd cared to spend a bit of extra time on. Simply because it was a consept that intruiged her. Nasty stuff. She tought to herself indifferently as the flipped another page leaving the gateway on the past page behind.

One of the drawings chaught her attention, her grip on the book tightented as she lifted it slightly doubting her own vision. The weapon was familiar to her, but this book called it by another name than she'd been taught. She flipped a few pages more to see how much the book said about it. Three pages dedicated to a single spear, Satomi raised an eyebrow, she'd never regarded it as anything special. The only sound that could be heard in the huge building was the pages turning as Satomi went back to the first page, making herself more comfortable in her chair. So, let's see what kind of tales the humans has spun around you....She thought to herself as she read the new name for the spear she'd known supposed to only bring death - Valkyries spear, end of despair..... Strange name for such a destructive weapon.... Satomi put her critisism aside and started reading, she didn't take most of it seriously untill she came to the last page. Most of the information on the two previous pages had been about how the spear could be used to protect, but also filled with warnings about how it's power was potent enough to kill the wielder if they didn't have the strength to handle it.
