"Go." I whispered to him.

In a puff of smoke and lightening he vanished. Kakashi and Asuma were talking but the words didn't register. Asuma dragged the man out, he wasn't conscious. Did I kill him? My tanto lay in a pool of blood. Hatake crest coated in it.

Kakashi's grip loosened slightly, he moved his arms from around me, placing his hands on my upper arms. I just sat there, dazed and unsure of what to do. The tears had dried, leaving salty trails down my cheeks. I lifted my hands and looked at them, crimson blotches on them. My shirt caught my eye and I realized it was ripped to shreds.

"What happened?" He barely spoke.

I shook my head, trying to shake the thoughts away of what could've happened. The warmth of Kakashi's hands left me and I felt stone cold at the loss. My head snapped back to look where he was going. He moved to kneel in front of me. I almost broke at the look in his eye. Weak. This man was my weakness. I only cried when I thought of Shisui or Kakashi. Now, I could think of Shisui and smile. Granted, when I think of Kakashi, I don't cry, but, just earlier today, tears fell because of him. And here, now, they threatened to fall again. He was worried about me. He looked at me like I was so fragile, a porcelain doll that was cracked and needed to be delicately handled. Put back together.

That's exactly what I am. Fragile. Weak. Broken.

"He-he attacked me." I finally spoke. "I killed his twin brother on a bounty mission."

"You'll need to go see Ibiki-san."

"I know." I whispered.

"I'll go with you." He offered.

I wanted to say something hurtful. I wanted to be mean and spiteful. Push him away, make him hurt.

"Thank you."

I stood on shaky legs, nearly falling if it wasn't for Kakashi catching me. As we straightened, still holding onto one another, I held his gaze. Without hesitation, I wrapped my arms around his waist and buried my head into his chest. His vest was unzipped slightly, a sign he was relaxing earlier. I took a long, deep breath, taking in his scent. His arms pulled me in closer as he held me. I stepped away from him and gave him a reassuring smile, neither one of us believed. He unzipped his vest and draped it over my shoulders.

As we headed out the door, he stopped and picked up my tanto. I could see the questions written on his single eye. More to discuss. He closed the door behind him and we walked to Ibiki. Kakashi stayed close, but didn't touch me. I held his vest tightly to me, basking in the warmth and smell.

We entered TIF and we were greeted by someone I was hoping to avoid forever. "What are you doing here?" Anko had her feet propped on the desk.

I simply turned and made my way to Ibiki's office. The place hadn't changed at all.

"Oi!" Anko called.

"Don't." Kakashi warned as he followed after me.

Ibiki's door was open, and he sat at his desk angrily. Nothing had changed about him. Same stern face and intimidating presence.

Kakashi knocked on the open door, "You're here late. I figured they would've called you in."

"Oh, Kakashi. What brings- Y/n?" He stood from his desk and moved to stand before me.

I gave a small smile as I looked up at him, "Ibiki-san, it's good to see you."

"You're the one that piece of shit attacked?" He lifted his hand and held my chin, moving my face to examine it.
