"Hello, Player. First, please select a name."

A voice resounded throughout the white room that Kaore woke up in. There was no one around him, so he assumed it was just something from the game. A transparent screen, light blue and rectangular, appeared in front of him.

"Hmm. Let's go with my real name. Kaore."

Kaore typed using the floating keyboard in front of him.

"Understood. Now please customize your character. There are restrictions to customization. Also, you may only use your real life gender."

The voice spoke once again as the current screen was replaced with a mirror. Kaore looked at himself. He currently had long hair since he hadn't bothered to cut it, and didn't want to either. His face was a very light, pale color, and for some reason looked feminine. His black eyes looked back at his slightly short figure through the mirror.

"Let's see. Oh, I can change the eye color," Kaore realized as he changed his eye color to a very light blue.

"That's fine. Now for hair color."

His hair was tied into a ponytail, allowing Kaore to not have it get in his way. He kept most of his hair the same black color, but added a shade of dark blue to it.

"That's good."

Kaore pressed the 'Okay' button at the top left of the screen.

"Understood. You can change exterior appearances later on, but changes to physique will be permanent. Are you sure about your changes?"

Kaore answered quickly.

"Yes."

"Understood. Now transporting you into a Beginner's Isle. Good luck, player Kaore."

White light surrounded Kaore as he was teleported out of the white room.

"Huh. What am I supposed to do?" Kaore asked to himself as he looked around. The buildings looked like houses made in medieval times. The houses were built right next to each other, so they used up less space. A light blue screen appeared before him as he was observing his new surroundings.

Tutuorial Quest:

Talk to the mayor of Beginner's Isle 20089.

You may have to wait a short while.

That's what the blue screen said.

"It's probably the menu or something."

I don't even know how to open it myself. Kaore looked around at the other people around him and they were swiping their index finger up and down. So he did the same.

"You currently do not have access to the menu."

Another blue screen denied him access. The other people must have already started, Kaore guessed.

"Alright then. I'm going to go talk to the mayor. The tutorial quest didn't allow me to cancel it, so it's probably required."

There was also a small map on the blue screen that stayed hovering next to him. It had a red line that showed him a path to a building, presumably to where the mayor was at. Kaore walked along the guided path for a while until he arrived at a large, fancy building. The gold-outlined doors were already open, so he walked inside.

There was a long line of people that led right up to the door. Kaore saw a large, muscular man at the start of the line, who was probably the mayor of this town. He got in line and waited for a while. The line progressed quickly, so Kaore only had to wait a few minutes until it was his turn.
