Maverick glanced at my direction and rolled his eyes, before leaving the room.

"My hair is fine." I said.

"You've never been to a party before, have you?" He asked and I shook my head in response. "That's why you have no idea what to do."

"Idiot."

"I'm not an idiot." I muttered out, crossing my arms.

"Fine, you're not an idiot. Now, come here."

I walked over him and he took out a small round tub.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Hair gel."

"No, No, No, don't use that on me--" I tried to protest but he grabbed my arm, pushing me down slightly so that I was sitting on his bed.

I swallowed hard, as he put the gel on my hair. I have no idea why he's doing all of this.

"Now you don't look like a nerd anymore." He said.

"I'm not a nerd."

"I know, but you look like one and I don't want my brother to look like a nerd."

"I don't."

"Oh yes you do. Now go and put your boots on real quick."

"Thanks, Elliot." I beamed.

"No problem, lil bro." He smiled. "Now go."

He pushed me out of his room, I couldn't help but grin to myself.

We pulled up to Brynn's house, several minutes later, and I heard the music booming. We got out of the car and I saw a bunch of students heading towards the house.

"Wow." I said as I faced the house. I heard Elliot chuckle softly.

As we got to the front of the house, a group of guys and girls came up to Elliot, some hugged him and some began to cheer for him.

"Woah, the Wolfhard is here." One of them whistled.

The loud music blasted into my ears. It was around 8 PM and there were people drinking, dancing, grinding on each other and some people playing usual party games. The music was blasting from the loudspeakers.

Do the neighbours not get mad at the noise?

My phone beeped and I took it out from my pocket; it was a text from Cameron.

Where the heck are you?

"Elliot?" I called him, but he didn't budge. He was laughing with his friends over something.

"Yo, who's this?" Some guy came over and asked. "Sorry if I'm wrong, but is this your brother?"

That caught some other guys' attention too. I gulped down, keeping my eyes glued to the ground.

"Yeah. That's Connor. My little brother." Elliot replied, slinging his arm over my shoulder.

I could feel the shock faces and gasps filled the room.

"I'll explain everything to you later, guys." He told them.

"Doesn't he look like Maverick?" I heard one of the girls whispered in her friends ear. Her gaze was fixed at me.

Elliot smirked at them and pulled his arm up before turning his attention to me.

"Stay near me, so I could watch you at all times and don't drink anything that doesn't smell or look like water. Got it?" He stated. I obediently nodded.

"Are your friends here?"

"Yeh." I said.

"Where are they?" He asked.

"They said they were in the other room." I answered. "I can go by myself." I said, when he began to lead me towards the other side of the room.

"Shut up and come with me."

I followed him and that's when I see Cameron standing with a glass in his hand and Lucas was laughing beside him.

"Don't drink anything." Elliot said strictly.

"I won't." I muttered a small thanks to him and headed towards my friends.

"Where's Shelby?" I asked.

"She hasn't arrived yet." Cameron responded. "I texted her, but she hasn't replied."

"I'm so glad you didn't wear a sweatshirt. I never thought I'd get to see the day." Lucas laughed.

"Very funny." I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes.

I looked around when I finally spotted her.

Destiny.

She was dancing in the middle of the crowd, surrounded by a group of her friends. A beautiful black sequin dress hugging her body and her blonde hair flowed down her back in loose curls. I could see her blue eyes shining, even in the dark.

I breathed in at the sight of her, she looked prettier than any other girl at the party.

She can dance and she looked like she was enjoying herself, in her usual carefree mood. I watched her as she laughed, blowing her blonde hair, as she danced along to the music.

I was so lost that I didn't realize that I wasn't the only one staring at her; there were so many other guys who were staring at her too.

I know I shouldn't care, but honestly, I didn't like how the other guys were staring and hooting at her. It took me a moment before I realized the one hooting at her was none other than, my bully, Dexter.

Why am I staring at her?

I can't stop staring at her.

"That's my girlfriend." Dexter hooted.

Wait what? A girlfriend?

That's when a wave of jealousy hit me.

What is happening to me?
