April 24th
It was improbable to expect extraordinary days throughout my life. I was astonished all the way.
An early morning sun peeked out through the clouds, enabling the rays of sunlight to lit up the path, the sound of the faint chirping of birds entered my ears, bringing me eventually to absorb the surroundings.
"Why are you all smiling in the early morning?" Cameron asked, scanning my delightful mood.
"Am I not supposed to be happy?"
He grumbled out with an eye roll. "I can't find the reason to disagree at this point. After all, you are the superstar of the day."
Despite his action, Lucas, who had a smirk evident on his lips, commented. "He's not a real morning person. Since I was the one to ruin his sleep, he is now mad at us."
"Would you guys just stop!" Shelby shouted out of frustration. "He has ruined your sleep, dude, not something precious!"
"Sleep is precious to me and I can only skip it for something special for me," Cameron rasped, being more irritated second by second. "Look how I will remain in this mood all day. Nothing would be able to cheer me up, and it's all this fool's fault!"
"Why did you wake him up, Lucas?"
"It's absolutely simple. I was getting bored. Wanted to play a video game. Since Cameron stayed the night at mine, I woke him up in the morning by dumping the bucket of cold water on him." He told me casually as it wasn't a big deal while resisting a chuckle.
We burst out into laughter. Cameron's expression was priceless, and it was obvious for us to understand how he was really feeling.
"Each of you gets ready for your funeral which is taking place tomorrow." Cameron spat out through gritted teeth.
"So, April 25th will be my death day?" I smirked, holding back a laugh that wanted to escape my lips.
Shelby snickered as a response before grabbing her skateboard and getting on it while putting her headphones on.
"Alright, guys. Dad's calling me. I'll see you at Connor's."
Cameron prevented himself from rashing out before turning his eyes back to us. "You guys suck," With that, we watched him also walk out of our sight.
"Well, that was not good," I remarked, releasing a sigh before stepping backward. "I gotta go home. See you tonight."
While leaning against my bike, I allowed my eyes to travel to the crowd surrounding the park. With a small breath, painting an endearing smile on my face, and getting on my bike, I made my way home.
