I was feeling drained of energy during the basketball interval. I wanted to drink Gatorade so badly because I have seen Thibbault drinking it and it seemed to be helping but the coach is being a coach.
He doesn't let any of us drink Gatorade; only water is allowed.
"Bro, I can't--" Lucas managed to speak while breathing heavily. "I can't practice anymore." I gave him a simple nod in response as I didn't feel like speaking.
"Boys! Gather around!" I heard a coach shouted in his usual booming voice.
"Is he planning to kill us today?" Lucas exclaimed.
I took another sip of water before asking. "Where is Cameron?"
"That jerk will never be present when you need him the most," Lucas grumbled under his breath. "I can't believe he missed today's basketball practice."
"Coach will be so mad at him. What makes him miss today's practice?"
"I have no idea about it," Lucas replied, hesitantly.
