[This is CANON IN MY STORY. This is not canon for the actual anime (as you can guess) and probably wont be. For people who DO NOT want to read this because of the warnings but want to know what this is about, please go to my authors note for a brief summary of this chapter! You DO NOT have to read this to understand the story, this is just EXTRA CONTENT. This is here to explain sorta why Izuku is more hateful towards himself unlike the anime. Izuku was bullied for being quirkless. He was the laughing stock of the school. The kid that nobody liked. The kid that nobody talked to... Besides Kirai Takahiro.
(I used a random name i made up. Used google translate to get Kirai (first name) which means Hateful in English ( I hope.) Takahiro (last name) was off some website- This person isnt mentioned in the story besides now and its just a random character I made up. You can imagine his looks, except that his eyes are brown and that's mentioned once- Now continue-)
He was one of Izuku's only friends. Sure, Kirai made it a point to not talk to him when others were around, and sure Kirai only watched when Izuku got hurt, but.. He was the closest thing Izuku ever had to a friend besides Katsuki when the two kids were younger. Izuku only became Kirai's friend after they were assigned a project and Kirai didn't seem too bothered. The two even talked on the phone sometimes. Like that time when Kirai wanted help with his homework or.. When Kirai needed money for lunch! Izuku always helped him. It's the least he he could do for a friend. Kirai tolerated him.
Kirai tolerated such a ư̶̠s̷̤͛ẽ̷̘ľ̷͎e̸̻͐s̷̗͐s̴̹͒ ̶̈́, w̶̺̓o̴̜̅r̸̫͠t̸͔͝h̷̳̆l̶͉͆ĕ̷͎s̵͓͐s̷͙̅, and q̷͓͋u̶͇̚i̶͝ͅr̷͇̀k̴̡̚l̸͖͂ė̴͓s̸̳͆s̶͇̓ child like Izuku.
Izuku felt grateful for that. Kirai never even called him names or even quirkless! That's got to be something, right?
Izuku couldn't help but gravitate toward Kirai. He followed him around; Usually behind him so that nobody would think Kirai was friends with Izuku. Izuku couldn't help himself when he realized he had a crush; A crush on his friend. He didn't notice it at first, however when he realized.. he was confused. Liking a guy? Izuku never thought of himself as gay or anything.. He used to have crushes on girls before they promptly told Izuku that he would never be able to date a girl because he was just a weak quirkless kid.
But.. What about guys? The possibilities sprung around in his mind. Maybe.. he was bisexual? Maybe he should talk about it to Kirai. Kirai was smart. He could help Izuku! Maybe... They could be more.
