I can't wait to wake up by your side
To see you everyday
To roll onto my side
and watch as you try
to pry open your eyes.

I can't wait to make you breakfast, lunch and dinner
And watch as you scarf it down
And try to nicely tell me how to cook better.
I'll learn throughout the years.
I've got a great teacher.

I can't wait to be bored with you.
To do nothing all day,
To stay at home on lazy days,
Alone together.

I can't wait to go on adventures with you.
To travel by car and by plane.
To go to the beach, parks, unknown countries.
To get lost and be found.

I can't wait to argue.
And then realize how dumb it is to argue.
I can't wait to forgive you
And be forgiven by you.

Until then, I can wait.
One day at a time.
One date at a time.
Getting to know you more and more.

One day I'll know you so well, that I'll be surprised when I learn something new about you.
And there will always be one more new thing. And I look forward to that.
