Harry's p.o.v.
It's cold.
The spot next to me that is usually inhabited by a perfectly warm body empty, and it's cold.
Where'd she go?
She probably just went downstairs to get water or something. I'm going back to sleep.
So sleepy...
The loud noise of a gunshot has me jumping to my feet immediately.
I could sleep through a hurricane, but that sound is something very unmistakable to me.
"Jude..." I say quietly at first to see if she happens to be in the room, then I yell her name louder, "Jude!"
I grab the gun in the top drawer of my night stand and make my way over to the door as fast as possible. I reach for the handle to open the door, but it won't budge.
Something is blocking the door.
"Jude!" I yell out again, hoping I'll get something back from her- anything.
I start slamming my body against the door, trying to get it to give, but whatever is holding it closed is doing a good job of it.
A million things are going through my mind right now, along with a million emotions but I'm trying to turn it all into anger so I can break down this fucking door.
I start imagining the worst of the worst, anything to get enough adrenaline pumping through me. Flashes of Jude's dead body starts running through my head as I begin to hit the door with more force.
I can feel whatever is holding the door closed begin to shift, so I take a deep breath and hit the door with all of my strength. I hear a loud crashing noise and the door opens just enough for me to squeeze through the opening.
There's a bookcase laying on the ground in front of my door when I get into the hallway, showing that that's what was holding me in there.
I start running down the hallway, but I pause when I get to the stairs and I hear voice coming from the kitchen. I step down the stairs quickly, but quietly as I hear someone familiar speaking.
"Anything you want to say before, you know, lights out?" Jacob's voice echoes from the kitchen into my ears. I walk through the living room and behind him into the kitchen as I raise my gun to aim at his head.
"Go fuck yourself." I hear Jude slur out, and it's obvious that something has happened to her. She sounds exhausted.
I pull the trigger, but Jacob moves his body and whips around to face me, dodging the bullet completely.
I look to Jude who is passed out on the floor of the kitchen with what looks like a bullet wound in her leg. She has obviously lost a lot of blood, and she needs help now.
I'm going to fucking kill him.
I focus my aim on Jacob once again, but I freeze when he points his gun towards Jude once again.
"Make one move and I'll blow her brains out." He threatens and I keep completely still. I'm huffing out breaths through my nose while I flick my eyes back and forth between Jude and Jacob.
I'm huffing out breaths through my nose, trying to calm myself down but it's not working.
Jude needs help. Her leg is bleeding, and she has already passed out from blood loss.
"Please," I say as calmly as I can in a moment like this, "she needs help. She's losing too much blood."
"Give me one reason why I shouldn't just let her die? It would be a better fate for her than staying here with you." He spits out with disgust coating his voice.
