Evermoon

They left the house and walked down towards Main Street. Unlike yesterday, the weather was unseasonably warm for Blairs Hollow, and they all stripped their jackets off and tied it around their waist. As they passed the Stars and Moon Emporium, it seemed as if the whole town was out as Main Street was active with pedestrians and cars. They walked along main street, dodging people as they went on and Celeste suggested they all got ice cream from Carl's Ice cream shop. As they entered it seemed as if everyone from the party last night was there. A few whoops and cheers erupted from a booth in the corner and they started chanting Celeste's name.

"Boys" Celeste smirked, tipping her head in their direction.

"Well that's interesting" Frankie said

"It really was Frankie! Celeste made a comeback and whipped all their asses" Rose chipped in.

Celeste shrugged it off and remained quiet, preferring to revel in her 15-minute of fame.

"Hey Frankie" Carl spoke

"Hi Carl, how you doing? Very busy today huh?"

"You bet, it's a nice day for ice cream! What can I get you?"

"One mint chip, strawberries and cream, caramel nut and chocolate please"

"Coming right up"

Carl busily prepared the ice cream and Rose excused herself to say hello to Ryan and his friends.

"Here you are Frankie" Carl said, giving each person their preferred flavour.

"How much do we owe?"

"Nonsense! Grandma Claire gave me one of those potions or elixirs to help with my arthritis, worked a charm. It's the least I could do, enjoy!"

"Thanxs Carl", they chorused as they all shared a knowing look.

With ice cream in hand they all left Carl's, bumping into Priya in the process.

"Hey Priya," Callum said awkwardly rubbing the back of his head.

"Hi Callum," Priya replied, leaning in for a hug.

"You know Celeste, Rose and Frankie," He introduced lingering on the last a little longer than necessary.

"Some party last night huh?" Priya asked.

"Tell me about it" Celeste rolled her eyes.

They spoke about the party, graduation, which was less than 2 weeks away, upcoming events planned for the summer and plans for after summer since both Celeste and Callum were off to school and Rose was doing an internship.

"Can I speak with you in private?" Priya asked Callum

"Yeah sure."

Frankie and the girls said their goodbyes to Priya and agreed to meet with her soon and moved to the side to allow Callum some privacy.

Callum went to the side with Priya and he had to admit, when he was alone with her he could allow himself to focus and imagine what it could be like, to be with her. He'd had the biggest crush on Frankie from the day he met her that fateful day in the playground under the jungle gym, but he knew deep down she didn't feel the same way – even though he never really told her how he felt. He remembered when Celeste told him not to hope anymore that she had moved onto someone named Lucas, so like in that moment, he fooled himself into thinking he could discard his feelings for Frankie and focused on Priya.

"Hey, what's up?"

"Well the weirdest and scariest thing happened after I left you last night." Priya stuttered.
