Mark was at his desk editing music, in honesty he didn't feel like doing anything, he just needed something to keep his mind busy. His own figurative imagination of Donghyuck flirting with Taeil and then secretly laughing at him behind his back kept playing in his head which just infuriated him.
There was a knock at his door, he didn't answer so the person behind the door let themselves in. "Hey, Mark"
"Oh, hey hyung" Out of everyone who could have come to his room, it had to be him. Taeil could feel the tension in the room, so he awkwardly shifted sideways and onto Mark's bed. "What do you want?"
"It's not like I was eavesdropping or anything... but I overheard the argument that took place between you and Donghyuck" his words came out timely, "want to talk about it?" Mark looked at his hyung, poor guy. He had no idea he was also part of the reason why Mark felt like shit.
"No, not really." The younger boy sighed, "there's really not much to say" he lied.
"Well... it didn't sound like it was nothing"
With a heavy sigh, Mark leans forward on his computer desk with his hands covering his face. He can feel himself about to explode any minute now. He's trying so desperately to keep himself together but Taeil keeps jabbing at him."Hyung, I'm alright..."
"Mark, I know when you're alright, and to me, you don't look alright. If you have anything you want to talk abo-"
"Well, what do you want me to say? I had a wet dream about Donghyuck and now I don't know how I feel?" The younger boy spat, almost in tears. All the anger, confusion, and frustration he's been suppressing just burst out and poor Taeil was at the end of it to catch it all. Taeil sat still in dismay, struggling to digest what he just heard.
"Wait, did you say a wet dream about... Donghyuck?"
"Yes," Mark sighed in defeat, throwing himself back onto his computer chair.
"And... now you like hi-"
"No!" Mark cut him off, "I mean, yeah? I don't know" he slouched forward on his desk once more and placed his hands on his face. "It's just...after that dream, I can't help but see him differently"
"How different?" Taeil asked, still trying to process everything he was hearing.
"Like how sparkly his eyes are, or how beautiful he looks when he wakes up with his puffy cheeks. Or how pretty his tan skin looks under the sun, or how he adorably scranches his nose when he's laughing really hard at something" Mark hadn't noticed the little smile that had appeared across his face while he spoke about Donghyuck, but Taeil noticed. The older boy chuckled to himself whilst getting up and he reached out to place a hand on Mark's head.
"Sounds to me like you've fallen in love, my friend," Mark looked up at Taeil, shocked by the words that he just spoke.
'In love? me? With Doghyuck?!'.
"I mean that's at least what I think, but there's only one way to be sure of it," Taeil spoke, sticking his index finger out.
"And what's that?" Mark asked, however, he knew whatever it was, it was going to be impossible. Taeil pulled his index finger up and pointed to his own lips.
"A kiss," Taeil spoke proudly. Yup, Mark was right, it was impossible. Taeil could see the younger boy backing out, "Seriously, it's the only way. If you do it, you'll get a clear answer about how you truly feel... Besides, it's only one kiss." Weirdly enough, this made sense to Mark, maybe what Taeil was saying was right. If he does this, he'll know for sure whether he likes Donghyuck or not, and besides, it's only one kiss. What could go wrong?
