Falling For The Player (BWWM)

"You know we never actually been on a real date." Camden says laying back next to me on his bed. After his consistent begging, I decided to take a shower from being outside in the rain. I had on a pair of his grey sweatpants which looked baggy on me and a t-shirt. He looks over at me. "Let's plan some."

"Okay, but you've said that before. The other day you said you were going to teach me how to play some of your video games."

"That can be date number one, video games."

"Can't forget the sushi." I reply with a smile. We laid in bed, creating a list of 10 dates we would go on before we were off to college. Date number one is video games and sushi, the second is a picnic in the park, the third is ice cream and the movies, and laser tag, leaving the last six to be a surprise.

An hour rolled by, and by that time, I needed to make my way home. Camden walked me to my car with my now dry clothes from earlier in my hands. I open the driver's seat door and get inside before putting on my seat belt. "Drive safe."

"I know."

"Call me, when you get home." Camden closes the door for me as I start up my car and roll down my window.

"I will." He leans down to kiss my cheek and goes inside. Once I see him go inside his house, I make my way home.

Once I get home I message him and the group chat I have with the girls.

Me: I'm home. I'll see you tomorrow.

Camden: good, night little fish

Me: We made up, Beverely drugged him at the party.

I went on to tell them what I had heard after practice. Also talked about his side of the night.

Jamie: smh, I knew she was a hoe.

Winter: so make up sex? 👀😈😂

Me: lmao I'm not telling you.

Annika: spill it...we live vicariously through you🤪

Me: maybe one day when y'all are grown😂

Winter: wow 🥺👉🏽👈🏽

Everything was back to normal and I was glad for it. Back at school, people were shocked to see Camden and I together around school as if nothing happened. Sam kept giving me glares as if I was in the wrong for how things ended up between his little sabotage plan with Beverley. His already weird vibes that he gave me turned into creepy ones.

Now Beverley, that's a completely different story. She was being strangely nice to me.

In the beginning of practice today, she handed me my gear bag while she grabbed hers from the box at the pool. Either way, I hope the lack of issues with her stayed consistent. Cam was back at practice and was sharing a lane with me. Swimming by myself without him was weird.

Once we both finished our warm ups, Cam and I decided to do a kick set together. We grabbed our kickboards and kicked side by side.

"Your birthday is soon. Do you know what you want?" Cam turns to look at me while I struggle to keep up with him. This is one of the only times when I hate tall people, it's hard to keep up with them in the pool.

"Not yet, been too distracted with colleges and finding the right dress for prom." After practice today, the girls and I were going to the store to look for prom dresses since we had less than two months.

"Any schools that stand out to you?"

"Wellington College, the women's school I told you about. They're willing to give me a full ride."

"That's great! Where is it?"

"California."

"You gonna go?"

"Yeah, I think so. I'd miss you though."

"No shit." He says smiling. I splash some water in his face.
