Hiding From My Mate

Ambers POV

I always dreamt of the mystical creatures that roamed in the night.

Were they naturally beautiful? Was their skin ice cold or did they burn in the sun?

Could the vampires run as fast as light and were super strong?

These things were only suppose to exist in movies, books, we'll, they were fictional.

After the beach, I forced Kellan to take me home and I didn't say a word.

He has to be lying.

Vampires aren't real... Are they?

When I got home, I jumped out of the car and ran inside, but not before I heard Kellan tell me goodbye.

"Mom... Dad?" I yelled.

"In the living room," I heard my mom.

I sat on the couch next to them and they turned off the tv when they saw my determined expression.

"What's wrong?" My dad asked, concern dripping from his tone.

"What are you keeping from me?"

I knew something was up and I got their attention. They had worried faces and they looked at each other having a silent debate.

"Sweetie, we know your birthday is in a week and a half and... we do have something to tell you," mom said trying to piece together her words.

I nodded my head telling them to continue.

"On your sixteenth birthday, your, well, your going to be changing," that was dad.

"What do you mean?" I asked sketchy of their answer.

"Your going to be changed into a werewolf. We didn't want to tell you. Were so sorry and we promise to be by you every step of the way."

I felt my head get lighter and the room starting spinning.

Soon spots of black filled my vision and darkness over came me.

Kellan's POV (awesome right?)

All vampires have soul mates they are there other half, the person that completes them. Without there other half, vampires become killers and their souls are comsumed with murder and vengeance.

A vampires soul mate is their anchor they hold them to this earth and sanity. A vampire with a soul mate will not become a ruthless killer. A vampire that never finds his soul mate will have to be destroyed for all the damage they will do.

Amber may be a werewolf but I love her already. She is my soul mate and I can strongly feel the connection.

It was stupid to tell her about what I was, but she needed to be brought into this world sooner or later and I don't want her to take it all in at once.

It is wrong of her parents to keep something like this from their only daughter. They're not going to be able to avoid their destiny forever.

I quickly said goodbye to Amber before she got inside her house.

From now on I will hurt anyone who bullies her again.

She is more beautiful then the rest of those ugly sluts in high school. Normal girls would always wear tight and short clothing, but my Amber is different, special and unique.

God, I'm going to go crazy not having her around. I need this girl.

"Mom...Dad?" She yelled from inside her house.
