Amber's POV

It's been 3 days since I moved and I love it here!

The sun is always up and the sight! Oh, the magnificent things are such a sight to see.

No one is ever down or sad.

No one ever cried or whines.

But me.

Even though I do smile a lot and have friends and all, I'm really starting to become home sick. I need my mate, my family. Or what's left of it anyway.

Hopefully these feeling will pass.

When I go into heat, in 5 days, that's when I'll be the most devastated.

For one; my emotions are going to be heightened by ten. Two; There are a lot of unmated wolves looking for attention. Three; I don't have my mate to keep me safe, and calm.

"Come on Amber, snap out it. I want to go," my bestie whined.

"Shut up Jeffery, just let me grab my purse," I rolled my eyes when he stomped his foot.

"Hurry up," he mumbled.

Told you I have friends now. And they don't beat me up or call me names!

My new school is amazing.

Big windows to show off the scenery and the people there are so nice.

I snapped my fingers in front of Jeffery's face to get him out of a trance.

"Huh?" He twitched and looked nervous.

"I'm ready now can you tell me where we're going?"

He smiled wide, "nope now get in the car."

I didn't answer him before getting into his red Camaro.

Putting my seatbelt on I heard Jeffery take deep breathes before driving off.

"Ok now close your eyes or put this blindfold on," he held up a hot pink blindfold.

"Do you think I would ever wear a pink blindfold? Or anything pink for that matter?"

He gave me a cheesy grin, "I figured you would say that, so I got you a blue one," he pulled out a dark blue blind fold from his pocket, struggling to keep the car in control.

He handed it to me without taking his eyes off the road.

Sighing, I knew I had no choice.

So I took the blindfold and slipped it over my eyes.

"Now what?"

"Uh, j-just wait until we get there, I guess," I heard him stutter.

5 minutes later, the silence got to me so I felt for the button to turn on the music.

I groaned when I couldn't find it.

"Can you PLEASE turn on the music?"

He chucked before I heard 'ACDC' come on.

Jeffery was rocking out, saying all the lyrics perfectly.

I could just imagine his head bobbing up and down.

When the song was over, he turned the radio back off and shut the car down.

I sat there listening to his fidgeting and ridged breath.

"Are you ok?" I asked him.

"Oh yeah I'm fine it's just- well I'll tell you once were out."

I heard him shuffling around before his hot breathe fanned my face as he slowly took the blindfold off.

I had my eyes closed when it came off and I fluttered my eyes only to come face to face with Jeffery.

His gaze traveled towards my lips before coming back to meet my eyes pleading for an answer.

I knew what he wanted, but is it what I wanted?

Pulling back I fidgeted with my hands and kept my gaze out the window with my mouth open.

"Jeffery, this place is beautiful," I changed the subject.

"Yeah I always come here to clear my head," he said with no emotion.

He came to the passenger side and opened the door before I had a chance to register the beauty of this place.

He took my hand and led a blushing me to the gigantic tree house.

It was as tall as the trees and had stairs going up to multiple rooms.

"This land was owned by my parents but they never used this. It became my own little place before I had to move closer to school," he told me looking up at it.

I gave his hand a squeeze and we went on into the bottom floor.

Wow!

They're was a TV, video games, an L shaped black leather couch with dangling yellow light above it that gave the tree house a warm feeling.

"Do you like it?"

"Like it? I love it! This place is gorgeous!" I exclaimed.

"Thanks," he mumbled.

"I know something is wrong. You can tell me," I urged him for trust.

Jeffery winced before leading me to the very comfortable couch in the middle of the room.

"I've never shown this to anyone except you," he mumbled.

"Why?"

"Because I never trusted anyone. I never..." he stopped himself.

I nodded telling him to go on.

"I never felt a feeling this strong towards anyone... but you, Amber. You take my breathe away and light up the room whenever your around. Even when you are mad or sad, you still are as beautiful as an angel. I-I think you might be my second mate."

I stared at him with no emotion.

Am I ready for this?

What happens when I move?

Will this ever work, could it?

"You know I'll have to move when I go into heat to avoid him from finding me, right?"

"I'll come with you."

"Would you really do something like this for me?" I chocked out.

"Of course."

He confirmed my suspicions.

Yes I have been feeling faint sparks whenever our skin touch and my wolf rises within me when he walks in the room.

"I can't make you do that."

He frowned.

"You aren't, I actually have been thinking out taking a break and traveling, I guess I just needed a certain push to make me have the courage to pack up."

I had tears in my eyes and knew that I was for sure falling for him.

But I have a mate out there, that I'm trying not to hurt.

Would this hurt him more, or help both of us move on?

Jeffery sat there in silence and my heart broke when I saw the lonely tear fall down his face.

By instincts, I put my hand up to his cheek and whipped the salty tear away.

When I pulled my hand back, Jeffery grabbed it and held it within his own gentle hand.

I could not take my eyes off his as we stared at each other waiting for what seemed like forever for one of us to make a move.

Should I take the road that destiny built for me, or make my own road?

Being stubborn I know that rules were made to be broken.

And so was my destiny...
