Promise Me (Hinata x Reader)

~(Y/n) POV~

It's been two weeks since Shoyo and I started dating. But it's also been two weeks since Sora and I have spoken. I've tried to talk to him in class but he just ignores me. I miss him, he was my best friend besides Shoyo and the team. But I have to keep my head up, the prelims are next week and the team needs to prepare.

I stretched back in my chair waiting for the bell to ring. It felt like time was going in slow motion. The bell finally rang, signalling the end of the day, after what felt like centuries. I swung my bag over my shoulder and walked over to his desk. I walked past Sora but quickly looked away as soon as we made eye contact. It gave me an uneasy feeling in my stomach.

"(Y/n)!!" Shoyo shouted, throwing his arms around me. I giggled and returned the embrace. "Let's go to practice, and after we can get ice cream!" I nodded and we walked out the door. At the doorway I stopped and turned around to look at Sora, but he was gone. I sighed and continued to follow Shoyo. We made our way to the gym and I walked in to see Saltyshima and Kageyama bickering, that's not unusual though. I rolled my eyes and giggled to myself.

~Time Skip to After Practice~

"Come on, Sho!" I called to my orange headed boyfriend. I was waiting outside the gym while he was cleaning. I was really craving some ice cream, so I was in kind of a hurry. 

"Ah! I got to go, bye guys!" I heard Shoyo call to the team before running out. 

"Be home by 7!" Ryu yelled before we left. I rolled my eyes and nodded. Shoyo and I walked hand in hand towards the ice cream parlor that was a couple streets down. The door opened with a jingle from bells on the handle. We stood at the counter looking at the different flavours. 

"What kind are you getting?" I turned to the boy and asked. He put his fingers on his chin and looked at the options, pondering what kind he would order. 

"Hmm, I think I'll get a scoop of rocky road!" He told the cashier.
"And for you ma'am?" The cashier smiled at me and asked. 

"Ah, a scoop of pistachio for me please," I replied. She nodded and gave us our ice creams.

"Thank you!" We bowed and walked out of the parlor. I took a bite (YES a bite) of my ice cream and rolled my eyes at the delicious flavor. I added almonds to it and it was so good. 

"Give me a bite!" Shoyo opened his mouth asking me for some. A pink shade dusted my cheeks and I took a bite and kissed him. Letting him taste it from my mouth. He stood there frozen for a second before easing into the kiss. My face was definitely red by now. But so was his.

~Shoyo's POV~

I opened my mouth asking for a bite. I felt (Y/n)'s lips crash against mine, and I could taste the pistachio ice cream. My eyes widened for a moment before I started to kiss back. Red flaring up my cheeks. We pulled away, needing a breath. She smiled at me and grabbed my hand. Leading me to a nearby park, she sat on a swing, still eating her ice cream.

~Time Skip~

It was the day before the prelims and the entire time was practicing as hard as they could.

"Hey! Don't wear yourselves out!" Daichi yelled to the panting team. "Take a five minute break!" The team nodded and jogged to the benches where they wiped off their sweat with a towel or took a gulp of water. Shoyo took a seat next to me and interlocked our fingers. I smiled at him and gave him a quick peck on the nose before he returned to practice.
After practice, Shoyo and I walked to his house hand in hand. His bike had a flat tire so we couldn't bike home like we usually do. I was supposed to spend the night at his house today. We arrived to his house and were met at the door by an excited Natsu. 

"(Y/n)! (Y/n)!" She jumped up and down clutching onto my free hand. I giggled and leaned down to hug her

"Welcome back, (Y/n)," Shoyo's mother smiled at me. I smiled and gave her a loose hug. She returned back to the kitchen to continue cooking dinner. Shoyo and I walked up to his room and started doing our homework and going over game strategies. After dinner we rented some movies to have a movie night in Shoyo's room. We rented this cheesy romance movie. I had my head on Shoyo's shoulder and his arm wrapped around my waist. I snuggled into his chest. I started crying because the movie got to a really sad part, and well, I'm a sucker for things like this. I felt Shoyo's arms wrap tighter around me and he pulled my head up to look at him. He wiped away my tears and place a kiss on my lips. I melted into him, kissing back passionately. 

I pulled back to get a breath and just as I was about to lean back in I heard someone walking up the stairs. Startled, I jumped across the room from Shoyo, trying to seem as inconspicuous as possible.  We heard a light knock on the door right before it creaked open revealing a smiley Natsu. 

"Dinner is ready!" She smiled at me. I laughed and went down the stairs, turning my head and shooting Shoyo a quick glance who was avoiding eye contact, embarrassed. 

(Author's Note: I am SO sorry this took so long. I had an audition that I had to practice for and my job has been taking over my life. I'm also sorry if this chapter isn't very good. I couldn't remember where I originally wanted to go with it, so I kind of improvised. )
