"Zekrom! Fusion Bolt!!"The words appeared on the screen, the blue color of the words a somewhat startling difference from the usual black used in the rest of the game, and a surge of electricity blasted away Kyurem's ice spears, saving you from a horrible fate.
Ghetsis, who'd been watching this ordeal, said, "So you came... The freak without a human heart... N!" Though his sprite stayed unchanged, you could tell that these words weren't spoken too nicely.
Slowly, a large black dragon - presumably Zekrom - lowered itself to the ground in front of Kyurem, and a man with long, green hair tied back in a ponytail jumped off.
To say the least, you were surprised. The people in that house in Driftveil made it sound like N had left, never to return. So... why was he here now?
N ignored Ghetsis' statement. "Zekrom told me Kyurem is suffering! I can't allow selfish humans to make Pokémon suffer!"
You smiled. Well, he's definitely got his priorities straight.
"And I like Unova," the greenette continued. "It's the place that taught me how to live as a human... It's the place that made me notice the harmony between Pokémon and humans living together... I'll protect the Pokémon and humans who live here!"
"Bazzazzash!" Zekrom roared, most likely in agreement.
"Excellent!" Ghetsis replied, to your surprise. "That was a moving expression of your determination! So the education I provided to make you king wasn't a complete waste, then! But I still haven't forgotten that even though I was kind enough to find you when you were living in the forest with Pokémon, and take you in, and care for you, in the end you were selfish and disrupted my plans. I was supposed to use your abilities to rule Unova!"
You raised an eyebrow. Oh, now he's the selfish one.
Ghetsis paused, turning away, then back to us. "But I'll forgive you for that as well. Zekrom, which you were kind enough to bring with you, can shatter ice! Now you've saved me the work of searching for it! Well, actually, I knew you'd appear if we fired ice missiles into Opelucid City and you noticed the change!"
"That's an ugly formula! It won't work!" N protested.
"Oh, but it will!" Ghetsis replied. "If I use these! The DNA Splicers!"
Before you had time to wonder what the heck they were talking about, the screen shifted so that the player character was just out of view. Ghetsis slammed his cane down on the ground, and a weird gray stone lifted into the sky, surrounded by some sort of magenta light. It floated over to the two dragon Pokémon and bobbed up and down.
Suddenly, dark gray swirls started to appear on the stone. It began to warp and stretch, and was enveloped by a bright white light.
Then, it broke, and things started to escalate very quickly.
The stone was now a dark mass with a white spiral surrounding it. As you watched in astonishment (and maybe just a little bit of sheer horror), red streams of energy came out of nowhere, becoming trapped by the pulsating object. It grew and grew with a rhythmic whoosh, charging up for something. But what?
For the second time, this strange object changed shape, this time from an energy ball to a square to a triangle. The grey triangle grew downwards, creating a multicolored spike of doom. A yellow gem-like thing jutted out of the top, and the entire contraption shot down, embedding itself in Kyurem. You were amazed. This was amazing detail (for a pixel game from several years ago at least!)
