'She locked herself in the room again...' Eli worriedly thought, glancing over at the door to (Y/N)'s room as he prepared for their dinner which was soon to be served. She had been awfully busy ever since her project had started and unfortunately, her group mates were not exactly the best and they were not cooperative as well which made it more difficult for the poor girl to carry out her job since she was assigned to be the leader of their group.

What makes it more upsetting for him to hear is that those group mates of her were clearly taking an advantage of her, aware of the fact that she did not have enough courage to stand up against her classmate aside from calling and texting them multiple times in hopes of getting them to get some work done at the very least. Eli really did wish that there was something he could do but unfortunately, they were in a different course and he did not know the faces of those people who were giving (Y/N) such a hard time.

Of course his last resort was to ask Naib who was a fellow friend of (Y/N) to get some information, that was if she was ever going to have a mental breakdown from all these pressures to which he predicts that it would eventually happen sooner or later. All that he can do for now is to ensure that she gets all the rest that she needs whenever she is away from her laptop. "(Y/N)? Dinner is ready." Knocking on her door, he opens it slightly so that there was enough room for his head to poke through to see how she was doing.

"(Y/N)?" He spoke louder this time since it was safe to assume that she was far too occupied with her project to even hear his voice for the first time. "Oh Eli...? Sorry, is dinner ready? I'll be there in just a second." The small smile on his face faded away and was replaced by a frown when he noticed that she appeared to be far more exhausted than before, her eye bags seem to have worsened and her (E/C) was slightly red from the long hours of staring at the screen. He could only guess that she was doing most part of their work again.

"I'm afraid I can't let you have your way this time, when was the last time you had a break?" Eli questions, arms folded, waiting for her response as she only released out a nervous laughter and her eyes refused to meet his blue ones. He knew her too well to know that he should take her answer as a 'no'. "(Y/N)...I know that you are worried that you won't be able to complete your project on time but you must at least give yourself at least a half an hour break..." A sigh escapes from his lips as he shakes his head in disapproval, slowly approaching (Y/N) to lift her up from the chair.

"Mhm...I sure have the most caring boyfriend don't I?" Grinning gleefully as she gave him a small peck to his cheek, wishing that she could stay in his arms for the rest of the day instead of wasting her precious time on a stupid project which was not even related to what she was studying. It would be nice if her group mates could play their part too, that would have made them so much more tolerable to deal with. "Let's go out when your project is over, alright?" He suggested with a smile, hoping that could encourage or cheer (Y/N) up so that she didn't need to dread about her grades getting pulled back.

"That sounds nice...I really need it." Words cannot describe how deprived she was from his touch and affection, it had been a week since her project had started and she couldn't be anymore excited for the suffering to end in three days if it were not for the fact that some parts of the slides were still missing. "Hang in there, you've got this." Eli encourages again, cupping her cheeks and giving a small kiss to her forehead. (Y/N) wonders what had she done in her previous life to deserve such a sweet and caring person to be her partner.
