Isabelle's POV
Magnus entered the room, a smirk drawn across his face.
"Where's Alec?" She asked, trying to sound threatening but her words came out quiet and fearful.
"Don't worry, he's fine. Jonathan is taking care of him."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Jace demanded.
Magnus just shrugged. Isabelle didn't know why she was so scared. This was Magnus. He wouldn't let Alec get hurt. But then again, some potions are strong enough to make you completely forget about those you love, sometimes turning the love to hatred.
"Magnus, you have to try and fight it," She said. "No matter what you think, this isn't you."
"Be quiet, Shadowhunter," Magnus shouted. His warm brown eyes were now cold and unforgiving. Something rang in Magnus's pocket. He pulled out a phone, read something on the screen, and left without saying another word.
Simon's POV
"Oh no fair!" Simon protested. "Yoshi got in the way!"
"No he didn't you just suck at this game," Jordan replied. Then he sighed."Great. I got inked."
"Payback." Simon smiled.
They were playing Mario Kart. And Simon had thought he was winning until Jordan zipped past him, crossing the finish line.
"Come on!" Simon groaned as the scoreboard popped up on the screen. "How is it that you have so many more points than me? We almost tied!"
"Actually, I was a few laps ahead of you."
Simon's cell phone rang. He picked it up from the table. "Hello?"
"Simon I need help," Clary said from the other side.
Simon immediately started to panic. "Why? Are you hurt? Where are you? At the Institute? Clary, what's wrong? If someone did something to you I swear..."
"Simon, I'm fine." He sighed in relief.
"Then what do you need help with?" he asked.
"Jace, Isabelle, and Alec might be in trouble. We need all the help we can get."
"Clary..." He stood up from the couch, pacing back in forth. Jordan was looking up at him expectantly. "Look, maybe you should get some rest. Alec is dead. He can't be in danger if he's already dead." He answered quietly. He was starting to worry about the redhead.
"No, he's not. They won't tell me anything about it but he's not dead. Just, please come. I've already called several other people. Meet me outside the Institute."
Then she hung up. He decided he would have to process what Clary had just said later. "Hey Jordan, I gotta go, see you later." He told his roommate before running out of the apartment. He arrived at the Institute in a matter of seconds, where Clary was waiting for him on the steps. Maia stood next to her, along with a few other people Simon didn't know.
"...then he better not." Maia was saying.
"Well, I think it's better for everyone," Clary replied. She looked at Simon. "Okay, come one. The sooner we save them, the better."
Alec's POV
When he woke up, the first thing he noticed was he was laying on something soft. He tried to sit up, but there were leather straps holding him down.
He heard someone chuckle, and Jonathan came into view.
"You're finally awake." He said, looking down at him.
