I was in the room with E, Mal, and Jane

Jane: Mom said, "If a boy can't see the beauty within, then he's not worth it". Can you believe it? What world does she live in?!

I wasn't really listening. I kept thinking about what Carlos said and did to me the other day

Evie: Y/N!

I snapped out of it and looked at Evie

Me: Yeah?

Evie: I asked what do you think?

She showed me the outfit she was sewing and it looked pretty good

Me: It looks good. It really brings out your eyes

She smiled

Evie: I know right?

Jane sat on the edge of E's bed

Jane: I'll never get a boyfriend

Mal: Boyfriends are overrated

Evie: And how would you know, Mal? You've never had one

Mal: And I don't need one, E. They're a waste of time

E gasped

Evie: I forgot to do Chad's homework

I rolled my eyes

Me: And why are you doing that loser's homework?

Evie scoffed

Evie: Y/N! He's not a loser. And because if I do, he'll go out with me
