BACK AGAIN (1D Returns)

Harry's POV

On the ride to the red carpet the entire gang was engaged in conversations, all but Zayn. I knew more than anything that he was nervous and that being without Gigi for the first time was going to be hard, but he was going to be with us and we were going to stick together by him, cause before her there was US, and I want US to remain this way forever.

Being friends and being brothers, I think to myself just as my eyes glance over to Liam who was now laughing at something Louis said. Niall on the other hand was on a call with some mysterious girl and when he hung up we all gave him a look.

''What'd I do?'' He asks

I raise my brows ''who was that?'' I smirk and he begins to fumble. ''N..no one'' he says immediately going to shove his phone inside his pants suit but Louis was quick to snatch it away from him.

''C'mon mate give me back my phone'' Niall begged and we all laughed as we watched Niall struggle with Louis for his iphone.

''C'mon we're your best lads, tell us who she is'' Louis says when Niall finally takes his phone from him.

'No one okay?, she's no one'' Niall insists and I nod my head knowing Niall, he was going to tell us whenever he felt he was ready, so I didn't bother pushing him to talk.

I looked over to Zayn to see that he was very much disengaged and concentrating on the moving city lights outside the window.
At the back of my head I knew how he felt, not concerning Gigi but concerning us.

He felt weird being around us, which was okay. I mean every time I look at him it seems surreal that he's here again with us, and I almost feel disconnected from him, but he's still Zayn and soon I'll begin to learn to accept that whatever happened between us all cannot undo itself, but we can learn to move on from it.

''Hey'' i called out to zayn and everyone stopped talking, their attention now and us.
Zayn looked at me.

''Vas happening?'' He responded and unconsciously we all burst out laughing and luckily he later joined in.

''That never gets old man'' Niall said

''Laugh all you want it's still going to be better than giving you a 'CHONCE' Niall'' he fired back and a Niall frowned.

''Vas happening!'' Niall said and zayn yelled in reply ''CHONCE!''

Both of them bantering back and forth.

''Y'all fight like pussy cats I swear to God'' Louis said rolling his eyes.

'It just wanted to say that I'm happy we're all here together'' I say making Niall and Zayn shutup. ''At first I thought this would be a bad idea, I won't lie when Niall called and told me he wanted us to meet and come back together I felt really uneasy. And to be honest I dreaded seeing all your faces'' I admit to them and to myself.

''You weren't the only one Harry'' Liam said
''when we got to that hotel room I imagined things playing out a lot differently than it did,''

And when he said it my mind takes me back to the day it all went down.
Three days had passed since Zayn had left the band. I hadn't been myself and I don't think anyone was their self at that point. We were having a sound check that day and on the stage each of us struggled when it came to sharing lyrics and splitting Zayn's part. Louis had spoken up about having the least lines in a song and that if he could get some part of zayn's side of the song it wouldn't be so bad, but then Liam threw a fit about how Louis complained too much and even suggested Niall take it. Although Niall didn't really mind who took zayn's part louis got frustrated and blurred out.
