When I saw summer at the Dunkin' Donuts... she took my breath away. As she always did previously. Seeing her made me realize how much I miss her. I'm scared to tell her about what happened. Don't want to lose my wife for good.
Driving the girls to school I started to remember how I proposed to summer.

My hands were sweating from nervousness. I wasn't sure how I wanted to propose. Didn't want to do anything traditional. But also I wanted to surprise summer.
After having Mya I knew she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Watching her sleep I slowly slid the ring on her hand. Also placing flowers right next to her.
She peaked open her eye and grunted "why are you being so weird?!".
"What do you mean?" I asked.
She moved herself but then noticed a ring on her finger. A slow smile appeared on her face "what is this?".
"It's a ring" I smiled.
"Yeah no shit... but why?" She asked.
"Oh here are flowers. They're fake so it'll never go bad" I laughed.
She sat up looking even more confused "wait? Oh my god! Are you proposing?".
"Huh?" I played dumb.
"Kai?!" She said.
I got up off the bed "it's a ring that symbolizes my love for you". She got up and jumped off the bed "no you're proposing?! Kai?!".
I smiled big "I am?".
"Kai?!" She said again.
"Summer?!" I mocked.
"You want to marry me?" She asked.
I didn't answer but smiled.
"Kai?! Stop playing with me. This ring feels heavy so I know it's real! Do you want to marry me?" She asked.
I nodded "so is it a yes?".
She nodded excitedly "of course".
"I wasn't too much in the getting on one knee. But I see you are surprised" I said.
She kept looking at the ring "well yeah... wasn't expecting this at all!".
"So you'll be my wife?" I asked.
She titled her head "duh! Of course". Pulling her towards me I kissed her "you just made me the happiest man on earth".
She smiled "ditto".
Soon after she said yes... she also told me she was pregnant again. So the news was a double whammy. Maliah was on her way.

Blinking a few times... my girls had been in school for about fifteen minutes. I wanted to go meet up with summer to talk. My nerves were all over the place. Pulling up to harlows place. I sighed "here goes nothing".
Knocking on the door... stone opened the door "Kai? What's up man!".
"Came to speak to my wife" I said. He nodded "oh okay... come in".
Summer met me half way and smiled "we can talk upstairs in the room". Stone nodded and smiled "now you kids keep the door open".
"Very funny" she said.
"Just saying... I know how you two operate" he said. Summer smiled "come on Kai". Following her into the room "nice".
"I know right?!" She said.
She sat at a small table and I joined her "so what do you want to talk about since you clearly didn't fire yellow stone?".
"First off, I did fire aspen. And I had reasons for it" I said.
"And... what are those reasons?" She asked.
"Umm... okay.. so... uh... umm... she uh... she kissed me" I said. Summer titled her head "excuse me?".

"She kissed me. But I didn't kiss her back! I swear on everything. I didn't kiss her back. I told her to get out. Cause she was in my truck. But only because she and her boyfriend had a fight and she was stranded" I said.
Summer blinked at me "Kai? You kissed another female. Regardless of if she kissed you first. Her lips were on yours. That's technically cheating".
"But I didn't kiss her back. She did it first! I mean I wasn't expecting it. Took me off guard" I said.
Summer looked away...
"Say something, please?!" I asked.
"What do you want me to say?" She asked.
"Anything" I said.
"Kai... I'm not sure where my emotions are at but I'm numb. You kissed a whole other person. If it was me you would be livid. Never mind I warned you about her intentions".
I nodded "I know! And I'm an idiot for not believing you. I am. I take full responsibility for that. But I didn't kiss her".
"But you did" she said.
"Yes and no. Look I love you with everything in me. I would never even glance at another female let alone kiss one willingly" I said.
"I think for right now the best thing for me and the kids are to stay here for the time being. Maybe in due time we will eventually move back in. But not today. Not now. I need time to process what you told me" she said.
I nodded "okay". That wasn't as bad as I thought. Staring at summer she wouldn't look at me. I got up and opened the door to see both Harlow and stone looking around like if I didn't know they were eavesdropping. "Hey bro!" Harlow smiled.
Stone bend over and grabbed nothing "found it".
"Oh good! Well we will let you guys finish talking" she smiled. They both hurried downstairs whispering to each other.
