Barely In Love - (gxg)

Skylar's POV

I woke up next morning on my bed rather comfortable. Until I felt a presence by my side, that's when I finally opened my eyes and found a very naked and asleep Charlie on the other side of my bed.

All the memories from last night crossed my mind reminding me that it did happen, I had sex with Charlie I don't know how to feel about that.

What am I going to do now?

I shouldn't have done that, things are going to be so weird between us now. What should I say or do once she wakes up? It's not like I can leave this is my house, I wouldn't do that if I could anyway, it's a pretty shitty thing to do and I care about Charlie too much.

"You're thinking too loud."

My eyes widened at the sound of her voice. I glanced to the side to find Charlie awake and looking at me funnily.

"How long have you been up?" I asked.

"Just woke up."

She looked really beautiful with her messy brown hair sprawled all over the pillow and the white sheets just barely covering her chest that was full of evidence of our encounter from the past night.

"You're staring," she whispered teasingly as she now laid on her side facing me. I followed suit and laid on my side too.

"I'm not."

"You so are," she grinned.

I groaned.

I should address what happened but I don't know how to do that without making things awkward.

"Things will only be awkward if you make them so stop overthinking so much." Charlie said.

"How-"

She cut me off.

"I know how you are Skylar, you like to overthink and find a solution for everything."

Charlie knows me well. She might be the person who knows me best at the moment.

"It's just... I don't know what to say about what happened." I said embarrassed.

"What is there to say? Good work keep it up?" She laughed.

I rolled my eyes as I fought a smile.

"You know what I mean," I mumbled.

She propped herself in one elbow still looking at me. "We had sex Skylar, is not a big deal unless you make it so."

"How are you so calm about it?"

Charlie sighed.

"I know where you stand and I know where I stand. Last night you needed someone like we all do at least every once in a while. I mean I for sure needed to get laid and you were not bad."

I raised a brow at her, "Not bad? That's all I get?"

"I'll need a second round to know for sure," she flirted.

"I think I'll pass," now I grinned.

"Your loss." She shrugged.

We laid there in the bed in a peaceful silence staring at each other as if waiting to see who would look away first.

The light coming from between the curtains gave her skin a glow.

I don't know when exactly we went from the livingroom to the bed.

"What now?" I mumbled.

Charlie put a thoughtful face. "I think this is the part where we either go for another round, you subtly ask me to leave or one of us go to take a shower."

I chuckled.

"You know I won't ask you to leave," I said.

"Well I guess I'll take a shower then." She stood up from the bed letting the sheets slide down for her body leaving her naked.

I couldn't look away even if I wanted.

"I think you have some drool here," she pointed to her chin with a mischievous look. I could feel my cheeks warm at the fact she caught me staring at her. "Oh don't go all shy on me now Skylar. You weren't this shy last night when you had your head stuck between my legs."

My face was probably even redder now because of her comment.

I grabbed the pillow besides me and threw it at her.

"Hey!" Charlie laughed.

"Fuck you," I grumbled.

"With pleasure. Wanna join me in the shower?" She asked with a sly grin.

"Not a chance, now go bitch." I said playfully.

"You're so rude Skylar," she walked to the bathroom.

"Yeah I get that a lot," I said before she closed the bathroom door.

I sighed. That went better than I expected, hundred times better. Good thing Charlie is so laid back and cool, she knew I would make things awkward for not knowing how to handle it.

What am I supposed to do now?

Does this means I'm giving up on Summer?

She has a girlfriend what am I supposed to do about that. Tell her to leave her girlfriend and be with me so we can live happily ever after? If only things were that simple.

I groaned into my hands.

This is so complicated.

I know I shouldn't do what I'm about to do but right now I need a distraction before I go insane.

I stood up from the bed and headed towards the bathroom.

"I can't believe you actually came," Charlie said with her eyes closed under the shower as I slipped in.

"Well you did offer."

"I did." She said still not facing me.

I join her under the water and wrap my arms around her torso as I begin to nip her shoulders and neck.

"What made you change your mind?"

"I needed a distraction." I say honestly.

Charlie turns around and wraps her arms around my neck. "Well I'm more than happy to help."

"Are you sure?"

She rolls her eyes and brings me into a kiss. I take it as a yes and proceed to pin her to the shower wall, and lift her up, she instantly wraps her legs around me.

I pull back to say something else but as if knowing what I'm going to say Charlie speaks first.

"No strings attached, I know the drill Skylar."

She knows me well.

"You're pretty amazing."

"So does this means I get a pay raise?" She asked playfully.

I roll my eyes.

"Hilarious," I gave her a look.

"I know I am. Your life would be pretty boring if I wasn't," she giggled cutely.

I fight off a smile and shut her up with a kiss which she happily reciprocates.

I just hope this whole thing doesn't turn out wrong.
