Nayeon looked down at the screen. It couldn't have been. Nearly twenty thousand more in their account. Transferred from an off-shore bank account. She didn't understand what made him have a change of heart until she read the papers.

'Multi-millionaire found dead in manor'

She smirked to herself as she sipped her coffee. Someone had killed him and instead of keeping the money, had sent it to whoever he owed. It was almost like a modern day Robin Hood in a way. She couldn't help but think of who could have possibly been able to pull something like that off. No one nearby of course would've been able to. He was so closed off and careful on who he let into his life. All she knew was that if she ever met them, she would congratulate them.

"I saw the account. We have enough to hire two assassins." Jihyo's voice brought her from the article. "You must be glad he's dead." She chuckled while sitting across from her at the dining table.

"Shame it wasn't our gang that got him, but at least he's gone." She stated, her voice calm. "We need four proper contracts like Jeongyeon said. Of course now, we won't need such a big heist." She sighed, placing the newspaper down in front of her. "It would be nice to be richer for once..." She added.

"Jeongyeon said if we pull this off correctly... We can be at the top. Three hundred million." She beamed.

"We don't need to get cocky. We get what we need, get the contracts and then follow out with our missions." Nayeon advised. "Once we get cocky with our endeavors, everything falls apart." She warned. "That is why this gang is in the terrible place it is today. Because my father got greedy and thought he was untouchable."

Jihyo nodded, remembering the solemn day of when he was killed. A rival gang thinking they could kill him and get away with it. All she wanted was to get revenge, and put in place a perfect place for herself. But that was now deemed impossible when she saw how drained the bank accounts were. Only a couple hundred thousand to keep her close advisors and hope to get contracts soon.

"What about the girls." Jihyo asked quietly.

"They won't know anything. They're too young." Nayeon sighed. "Jeongyeon thinks they're too soft to be apart of the mafia." She whispered. "Is it so bad that I don't want them to be apart of this?" She asked.

Jihyo sighed, knowing that the girls were just too young for now. But both of them had no idea what was going on, and they knew that if they ever found out, everything would turn to hell.

Dahyun and Chaeyoung were the children of other gang members who were killed after her father was taken out. Once Nayeon had became leader, she made it a point to keep them safe, making sure they lived normal lives and away from it all.

"Dahyun is nineteen and Chaeyoung is eighteen now... They aren't little girls anymore." Jihyo explained. "Yes, we've lied to them for years... But..." She paused. "Their parents were deep into this... They have to know something." She frowned.

"If they do, they don't let on that they know." Nayeon shook her head. To her, they were precious children who needed to be protected at all costs. Not grown women who were capable of their own choices and lives.

Jeongyeon smiled to herself as she looked at the bags of money in front of her. Jihyo and Nayeon staring in disbelief. An unplanned raid, with their men turned successful. They didn't know whether to be upset of impressed.

"How many men did you lose." Nayeon asked.

"None." She answered.

"How long was this in the works before you decided to consult us." She growled.

"Two months. I know how badly you wanted those contracts. So I began to take charge of learning a few routes." She explained, watching Jihyo sift through the bills in the bag.

"Half of these bills are damaged. Unusable. Are you that dense?" Jihyo growled while holding up the bills.

"All apart of the plan. We sort what is usable, and what isn't. Banks will replace any damaged bills that are brought to them. We distribute a few hundred here and there, have our men return and replace." She smirked. "All under their noses. Posing as if we just wanted to deposit it." She added. "Yes, it's a little more work, but the government won't track damaged bills if they are just going to be shredded and replaced." She shrugged.

Nayeon wanted to be angry. Angry with the younger for putting herself and her men at risk like that. But she couldn't. The plan was perfect in every way and had obviously worked perfectly. She shook her head as she stood up, walking out of her office and into the rest of the mansion.

She was silent, thinking everything over as she walked down the halls. With Jeongyeon's unscheduled raid, she now had enough to make a three month contract with the Hirai clan. So she did the next step.

"What do you mean leaving?" Dahyun frowned.

"Just for a few days. Business in Japan is all." Nayeon explained, watching the two younger girls pick at their dinners.

"Unnie... We know what you do. You don't have to hide it from us anymore." Chaeyoung frowned. "We aren't children." She added, her voice quiet and almost a little afraid to speak.

It was the truth, Nayeon always reminded them that they were children, even as they grew older, both of them hitting the legal age and becoming adults. She still treated them as such, and not once did they ever complain. They didn't mind being allowed to stay in the giant mansion. Didn't mind the paid for education if they so pleased, to which they had taken. Both of them wanting to pursue careers in different fields that interested them.

"I know you aren't children... But... You're still little girls to me." Nayeon sighed. Dahyun reached over, taking her hand in hers, a reassuring smile on her face.

"We know. And we also know that you just want to protect us from the horrible things. And we're grateful for that." She stated calmly.

"Yeah, imagine if we knew things. We would've been kidnapped like in the movies." Chaeyoung chuckled.

Nayeon never wanted to think of that. It was honestly the truth. If the girls had ever found out in detail what exactly had gone on, they were a liability and collateral. If anyone ever wanted to get under Nayeon's skin and force her into doing whatever they wanted, all they had to do was kidnap these girls and she would give up everything for their safety.

She wasn't their mother, but she cared for them like an older sister would and they felt just like family. Her only family.
