"Welcome back, Zia!" greeted our colleagues at the office upon my return. I came back since two days ago and was called in by our music producer for a mock recording. He's currently looking for a voice that would suit his new song.

Director Park greeted me with a big smile and also congratulated me for my acting debut. We sat together at the recording studio while we discuss the melody of the song and the lyrics.

"You also write your songs so feel free to suggest anything. I will very much appreciate it."

"Of course." I read the lyrics again. "This sounds like a one sided love story. This 'I wish I could hold your hands but I know you're happier in her arms.'"

"The story behind that is a bit sadder than a one-sided love affair."

I was quick to look at him. "What's the story all about?"

"That song was inspired by the story of my friend. He and his girlfriend were together for six years, through ups and downs, and still managed to get through. Maybe they were destined to be together and they chose to be together." He smiled. "But fate has a different kind of plan. They parted ways before they reach their seventh anniversary."

"What? Why?"

"Maybe the line of the song is true. That sometimes love just ain't enough."

"Why is that?"

"His fiancée died."

I became speechless. It was a tragic love story. I bowed my head to look at the lyrics again. How will I convey that kind of emotion to this song?

"But, he's okay now. He found a new love and is getting married next month. I happened to remember the story because of your movie. It was a heartwarming story, I hope for it to do well in cinemas."

"Thank you."

"How about you, Miss Zy? Do you believe in destiny?"

I hummed. "I don't want to think of my life as a planned story. I want to at least have a control of my life, to regret and rejoice my own choices."

"Yes, that should be it."

"But I do believe in a higher power up there."

He smiled. "It was faith that's keeping us continue life."

It was already dark when we left the company. I leaned against the window and closed my eyes. That was when Jun played a song that made me open my eyes again, I didn't attempt to stop him though. The song was one from SD7's latest album.

I looked outside the window again. The rain started to pour. "Maybe a lot is starting to pray now."

Mom looked outside the window, too. "The rain symbolizes blessing. Let it fall today and maybe tomorrow it will be better."

I watched the rain get stronger. If there is something I want to rely on destiny that would be love. Because if there is something as mysterious and uncertain as life and death, that would be love.

I stretched my arms to welcome the early morning sun and the breeze coming from a nearby ocean. Another getaway somewhere; it's something I needed to clear my head and get the thoughts therein straight. I looked at the table beside the bed where I scattered all the drafts I made and on the floor where a lot more of crumpled papers laid. Mom was already awake and is already taking a shower. After tomorrow I will go back to the studio to consult Director Park. He has written several songs for me which I will start recording.
