A cold wind swept across, causing me to shiver. Caleb shrugged off his black leather jacket and tossed it around my shoulders. "Whom I am going to tutor if you get pneumonia?"

I crocked my eyebrow." I never catch the fucking cold."

Clutching his jacket and resisting the urge to close my eyes, a sweet and musky scent surrounded me. My slow mind turned one wheel.

His hair fell into his eyes, blocking my new favourite view. He shoved his hands in his pockets and moved forward, stopping less than an inch in front of me. So close, the heat from his body enveloped every inch of mine.

"You use the f word a lot." He whispered.

His grey eyes searched mine and then moved to inspect the rest of my body.

"Meet your approval?" I asked sarcastically.

He laughed. "Yes." I liked his deep laugh. It tickled my insides.

"You must be high, because no one in their right mind finds me attractive, especially when that person is you, Mr. Perfect."

"Not yet, but I'm planning on it." In a lighting flash move, he placed both of his hands on the bench, caging me with his body. He leaned towards me, and my heart shifted into gear I didn't know existed. His warm breath caressed my neck, melting my frozen skin. I could see his eyes again, and those grey orbs screamed hunger. Caleb drew his lips closer to mine; that sweet musky smell overwhelmed my senses. I could almost taste his lips when he unexpectedly took a step back, inhaling deeply. He ran a hand over his face and ran inside the house.

The cold air slapped me into the land of the sober.

And Caleb Rivers, like all boys, tried to use me, faded into the shadow.

Caleb.

After my run-in with Trixie, I took some beer cups and gulped it in one go.

"Easy baby, you will choke yourself." Natalie hugged me from behind.

"Happy birthday, baby." Giving a small peck on her lips, I dragged her to a corner.

"Where's your jacket? You will freeze to death." Natalie was enjoying her party. She must be high to ignore the tension building between us.

"I gave it to Trixie. Found her throwing up, near the bushes. You have to call someone tomorrow to clean it, or else your mom is going to kill you." I was trying to hide my intentions.

Even if I was standing so close to Natalie, I couldn't stop thinking about Trixie, and the possibility of her warm body undermine. Her long black hair had glimmered in the moonlight, those blue eyes and her lips, looked up at me like she wanted more, and damn, she smelled like hot chocolate cookies fresh out of the oven. I rubbed my head and sighed. What was wrong with me?

While sitting next to me on the stairs, Natalie sighed, "Poor girl, I don't know, from what she is running away. She misses her old friends, and Steve, I think he is her boyfriend." Thinking something, she continued," Her father died last year, and her mom got married again. She hates her stepdad, and I am sure she is hiding something deep inside. And that secret is killing her. She doesn't talk to anyone, and outburst her anger by fucking any random guy."

I guessed, I know the reason somewhat. Ever since that day at the library, I couldn't get Trixie out of my mind. Even when I visited Natalie, at her home last Saturday, I thought of her.

She plagued me for several reasons. First, as much I hated to admit it, I needed the money. She was my ticket to getting my freedom back, away from my hell house.
