I walked to the other regulars, sitting down.
I was still in shock from what Hansung had said, so I didn't make eye contact with the others.
Soulmates...f4ck that.
"Tch." I clenched my fists, angry at the world.
Why the f4ck should I have to have a soulmate? And why me, of all people, was chosen for the experiments? Why did I f4cking survive?
I clenched my fists harder, digging in my nails.
"Ugh."
"Turtle! What took you so long!? Hurry up?!"
Rak shouted at Khun, he had just arrived.
"I told you. I went to find a way to get Rachel into the next round." Khun set down his bag, sighing.
"Yeah right! You just went to poo, didn't you? You're just too embarrassed to admit it, aren't you?!" Rak shouted even louder at Khun, not believing his excuse.
Can that crocodile shut up?
"Wanna die, crocodile?"
"So did you?" Bam leaned over, looking at Khun for an answer.
"Yes I did." Rak and Bam smiled, happy to hear that we'd made progress with getting Rachel up the tower.
"How about you, (Y/N)?" Bam looked toward me, smiling.
I froze up, still clenching my fists. "Ah...I...didn't find anything. Sorry."
I looked away from Bam, pretending to focus my attention on something else.
"O-oh...that's ok."
Khun looked at me, concerned.
"It's alright, (Y/N)." He turned back to the center of the room, waiting for the results. "Let's just see how this goes first."
Lero spoke first, greeting us. "Good afternoon, regulars. This is Lero."
"Starting now, I will announce the regulars who passed the final position test."
The moment you were all waiting for...good luck to you all.
The lights shut off, and you could feel the anxiety and fear in the room.
Did I pass? A collective thought passed through all the regulars, wondering if they would go up the tower.
A huge screen lit up, and with it the results.
Huh.
Both Khun and Bam had passed, that was good...
It looks like the the only ones out of our friends that didn't pass was Rachel...
There were faces of happiness, relief, sadness, and anger all around the room.
"What?!" A regular slammed their palms on the table, disagreeing with the results.
"Why am I out?! My team beat the best! How come I'm not in there?!"
Hansung noticed the angry regular, calmly answering back.
"You don't agree with the results?"
"Of course not! Why did I fail, huh?!"
"As I said, the teacher's scores also a factors-"
