A hero's vigilante

It was a week after the incident and Rachel still hadn't called Shota, he knew that she just needed some time to get her thoughts in order for her to call him. Rachel was panicking inside on wether or not she should call Shota or not.

But she couldn't do it tonight because the Maxwell family was going to a party for the grand reopening of an hotel that was getting repaired after a villain attack but now tonight's the grand reopening and the Maxwell family was going because a they were playing karaoke there and they wanted to sing.

Rachel was wearing a black tank top with her jacket, black pants and black boots. She wore her wolf necklace because she haven't worn it in awhile since she broke up with Shota. When they got there, they ran into Jason from the mixer and he led jade away. Scott and Elizabeth went somewhere else and Rachel was left alone. She went to the ledge and looked at the city, the city made her think about Shota. She signed and pulled out her phone, she unblocked him and texted him.

Shota was on patrol and was hoping to get a distraction so he wouldn't go to the stupid party when his phone vibrated. He sighed annoyed that they wouldn't leave him alone, he took it out to see which idiot texted him but when he read the name he completely froze, the name was Rachel Maxwell. He was about to text back but decided to just call her because he missed her voice saying his name. It rung for a couple seconds then she picked and said. "Hello?" "Rachel."

Rachel's eyes widened when she heard Shota's voice, she wasn't expecting him to call her. She took a shaky breathe and said. "Hey Shota, how are you?" "I'm fine, how are you?" "I'm fine, it's good to hear your voice again, I didn't expect you to call me." "Well, I did. I missed your voice and you allot." "I missed you too." "I've been meaning to call you but you seemed like you needed time." "(Chuckles) I'm lucky to have a guy like you." "And I'm lucky to have a girl like you." "I'm sorry for not telling you my secret. I wanted to tell you but I got scared you would leave me or threatened to tell the police if i quit."

Shota sighed and said. "Yeah about that, I-." Then he heard a women screaming, he sighed and said. "I'll talk to you later." "Okay be safe, I love you." A small smile appeared on Eraserheads face and he said. "I love you too." He hung up and went to where that voice was. Back at the party, Rachel was looking at the town and wondered where Shota might've been, saving innocent lives. The next song started to play, it was the shorter version of 'take me home, country road' she knew her dad was going to sing it because of his deep voice.

She smiled at her dad singing, Rachel loved singing but had stage fright. All those people watching her sing just made her nervous, that's why she did it in private. Then all of a sudden the lights went out everywhere right when the next was going to play.

She went backstage to see what was going on, she overheard one of the workers say that the power is out for the rest of town and said they were trying to find the backup generators. Rachel decided to check it out and see if she could turn on the power. She zipped up her jacket and went to the power station to see if she could turn on the power for the rest of the town.

Scott was near the ledge watching Rachel go to the power station. "Go get them Baby girl." He turned his head and saw a guy in a hoodie aiming a rifle at her. He went to another building and put his mask on, he ran at the end of the building and ran to the other side, jumping. His quirk not only strengthens his muscles but his other abilities too.
