" Numb as in how? " I asked.

She grabs the the tablet on the table next to her and walk up to me.

" We were monitoring your behavior ever since you arrived " she pulls up a recording.

There I see myself talking with Ein, I'm laughing.

" Now pay attention when he leaves " she said.

Ein walk out the door and I see myself dropping the smile and lean back on the bed then just stare up the ceiling with an emotionless face.

" And this is when Dr. Lucan enters " she skips the video to forty minutes later.

I watch as I suddenly just put up my legs and I put on an annoyed face. I look up at her.

" See what I mean? " She asked.

" First of all delete that, second of all. . . .wow " I said.

" What? " She asked.

" I never realize about that " I said as I feel my hand is getting numb.

I Iook down at my hand.

" What's wrong? " She asked.

" My hand feels numb– "

Everything suddenly went black.

~ Time Skip ~

I feel my throat is very uncomfortable as I open my eyes, I try to swallow a saliva and it feels like something inside my throat. I look around and see I'm in a different room.

I cough a little and my body hurts a lot.

" She's awake " I hear a female voice.

I hear footsteps and I look to my left and see Dr. Mandrell.

" Y/n can you here me? " She asked, I nodded slightly and cough again.

" She's trying to breathe " she said and turn off the machine that I can see on the edge of my eyes.

She takes off something that is connected to the tube inside my mouth and down my throat.

" Okay, Y/n, I'm going to remove this tube and it'll be very uncomfortable " she said.

I gagged when she takes it out and I cough then swallow the saliva that is a little relieving.

" What the hell happened? " I asked and look to my left to see Nyla carrying a little girl in her arms that has brunette hair and E/c eyes and a guy with platinum blonde hair and dark green eyes standing next to her.

" Your in the ICU, you just had a seizure " Dr. Mandrell said.

" A seizure? " I asked.

" Has that ever happened before? " She asked.

" Not that I know of, how long was I out? " I asked.

" A few hours " Nyla said.

" I'll be back shortly with her results we took, bad news though, I'm going to have to admit your for several days " Dr. Mandrell said and walk out of the room while sanitizing her hand.

" Hi Clay " I said.

" Hi " said the guy standing next to Nyla.

I turn my head to them.

" Hey there Adeline " I look at the four years old girl.

" Chase told us what happened and we came as soon as possible, by the time we arrive they said you were in the ICU " Nyla said.

" I'm alright now, my brain is more complicated than I expected now " I said.

" Did the doctor said anything else? " Clay asked.

I won't tell them yet.

" No, I just need my lower extremities to heal in the meantime, we'll wait for that result she's talking about " I said.

" I'll call dad " she said and pass Adeline to her husband.

" Like he cares " I said.

" Hey, what makes you think that? " She asked.

" I forced him to rehab and now he's drinking again, you think he's going to visit me after that? " I asked.

" At least keep we him updated, he's our dad for God sakes " she said and walk out of the room.

" Why did you marry her? " I asked.

" I've asked myself that a few times too " Clay said.

~ Time Skip ~

" Since when we were friends? " I asked as I see Coraline entering the room with Aaron.

" Zenix informed the team and we were friends ever since I kissed you " Coraline winks and I roll my eyes away and turn to my side.

" What do you want?, More questions? I rather have you switch off that oxygen machine and I die " I said.

" Well he needed an excuse to come here, I just wanted to see if your still sexy in a hospital gown " Coraline said.

" What? " I asked.

" And you are " she bites her bottom lip.

" I'm here cause my dad is coming actually " Aaron said.

" And you think it's a good idea " I said in sarcasm and close my eyes.

" No one visited you today? " Coraline asked as I hear her sitting down in the chair in front of me.

" Nyla's on the phone with daddy, I doubt that he'll come and her husband and my niece are downstairs at the cafeteria to have dinner " I said.

" We got Tyrell " I open my eyes and look at Coraline in front of me with a serious face.

" How long will he be in jail? " I asked.

" From the looks of his charges of drug dealing, sexual assault, money laundering and murder, your looking at 30 to 35 years in prison " Aaron said.

" I asked Coraline " I said.

" What he said " Coraline gesture her head.

A knock was on the door, I look up and see Dr. Mandrell, I sit up properly.

" I got your labs " she walks in with a tablet.

" Hi Natalie " Aaron said.

" Hi " she said and turn to me.

" What's in the result? " I asked.

" Good news is you do not have epilepsy, the chloroform you inhaled probably triggered it " she said.

" How long am I going to be here? " I asked.

" We'll be transferring you to upstairs later tonight for a psych consult with Dr. Lucan, in the meantime, I'll have a nurse to hang another bag of blood " she said.

" Thanks " I said and she just smiles.

She leaves the room by sliding the door close. Coraline then takes out a bubblegum and take off the wrapping.

" Psych consult? " Coraline asked as she put a bubblegum in her mouth.

" They think my brain injury has something to do with my change of behavior and yada yada yada " I said.

A knock was on the door again and it slide opens, I see Evan entering with Ryder.

I whine.

" Oh please, no more humans! " I swing my hand in the air in annoyance.

" What's that supposed to mean? " Evan asked in a sad voice.
