Keegan's POV

"Keegan can we steal you for a moment?" A CBS lady press person says.

"Sure." I say then I step in front of the camera for one of my last interviews before we head to Tokyo

Today's the Last NWSL game that us national teamers will play in before we head to the Olympics and our game is against the Courage.

Tonight is also our LGBTQ+ Pride game which I find hilariously ironic considering who we're playing.

"You're going up against arguably the best left back in the world today." The CBS lady says. "What're you going to need to do to break her down?"

"Crystal Dunn's playing left back?" I question.

"Jaelene Daniels is the Left back."

"Who's that?" I question.

The CBS lady quickly moves on to different questions so I answer them then I head to the locker rom.

"So did we make a decision on the Anthem?" I ask as I walk into the locker room.

"We're going to play it before the game." Amanda Duffy says.

"You guys seriously don't care do you?" I ask.

"What do you mean?" Lisa Baird asks.

"In 11 years in France I never once heard the national anthem played before a league game. It doesn't make sense to play it when we have like 8 different nationalities on the team. For the national team I understand playing it, but not for a team with multiple nationals." I say.

"You can stay in the locker room if you want." Lisa Baird says.

"Did you even watch what happened at the Red Stars v Spirit game?" I ask. "Did you see how much pain Casey Short was in?............If you really want this league to be a beacon of light right now like you say then put your money where your mouth is and don't play the anthem."

Lisa and Amanda walk out of the locker room to discuss so I take off my necklaces and earrings before I start to change into my warm up . I then change into my warm up shirt, game shorts, my socks and my gold and blue boots.

After I'm dressed I put my long brown hair up into a ponytail then I head out to the pitch with the rest of the team. When I get on the pitch I run through my warm ups with the starters for a while then head back to the locker room.

Once in the locker room I change out of the training top and change into my Purple jersey.

After I'm dressed Alex comes over and sits in-between my legs then I run my fingers through her hair.

"Okay." Amanda says as she walks back into the locker room. "So we have a little girl here to sing the anthem so we'll play it today, but after this game we'll stop playing the anthem."

"Good." I say. "Bout time you guys listen to your players."

"Okay." I say when I get to the press room podium after the game. "Let's get this press conference rolling."

We beat the Courage 3-2 with goals coming from myself, Syd, and Marta.

The Courage's goals were scored by Lynn and Crystal.

"Now that you've played against Jaelene Daniels, what are your opinions on her?"

"I can't make a judgement on her because we were on different sides of the field so I never interacted with her." I say.

That's a lie.

Jaelene Daniels sucks.

She's so bad I wouldn't even sign her for my Newcastle United Women's team or my LOSC Lille women's team.
