Soulshift | Aizawa x reader

"Whoa—l/n, you look amazing! " Hizashi gasped dramatically as I walked out of the changing room to see him and Shirakumo waiting with a very clearly unwilling participant, Shota Aizawa, with his hands stuffed into his pockets.

"You're really dramatic, huh?" I asked.

"I live for the dramaticism of life," he grinned before smiling and pulling me through the school, Shirakumo and Aizawa trailing along behind us. We exited and joined the rest of the class.

"Alright, we're doing an obstacle course today," Burner announced once he'd noticed we were all there now, "it's quite simple really, the course behind me, you have to complete as fast as you can. Use your quirks and any gear that you have on you. It'll be done one at a time to get an idea of the level that everyone's quirks are and to also give you all a chance to have a go at finding flaws and strengths in another person's performance and help each other grow. Any questions?"

No one answered.

"Alright then, let's see," Burner looked around before his gaze stopped on me, "l/n, since you're new here, why don't you go first?"

"Uhm—yeah. Sure," I nodded.

"Everyone else up to the observation deck, l/n, to the start line," he said, everyone nodded, and I walked to the start line while everyone else walked away, Burner leading the line.

"Chase, led me your power," I muttered to myself as I glanced over the obstacle course ahead of me.

Agility is the way to go for this. Without a doubt.

"Alrighty~" Chase's voice replied before I was enveloped in a f/c glow. The glow dimmed and I felt no change, but I know that as soon as I begin moving, I'll feel the change quickly.

"L/n, start..." Burner's voice came over some speaker somewhere around here, "now!"

I pushed off, my speed was faster than I expected, and it took me a couple seconds to adjust but I managed to.

"Oh mother of all—" I quickly slid down against the floor as a giant log of wood came flying to my damn face.

Quickly, I rolled back to my feet in one smooth motion and continued running.

Jumping obstacles and ducking under flying objects or totally dodging them, I found myself quickly having a lot of fun as I moved.

"Being able to run like the wind is always fun, y/n," Chase's voice echoed through my head, "enjoy it while it lasts."

I smiled as I continued to run through the obstacle course until a pool of water came into sight at the end of the course.

"Water?!" I exclaimed, "Chase please tell me that I'm not going to suffer from your fear of water!"

"Sorry," Chase disappeared from my mind and my body started to try and take control of itself as I approached the pool.

"Not today me," I shook my head, "Luxin, manifest."

Luxin appeared from the sky, and I jumped onto his back, he easily flew me over the pool and, along with it, the finish line.

"Thanks," I smiled to the dragon as he tapped the top of my head lightly with his own before he disappeared, and Chase's power dulled, returning me to my normal state of normalcy.

I landed on the ground perfectly before my balance went all wonky and I face planted the floor.

"God damn you—I seriously hate this drawback," I grumbled as I pushed myself to my feet again and dusted myself down, "stupid clumsiness."
