"You'll be fine, noona. We've already done everything just for this moment. I'm pretty sure he'll accept you."

"If that's what you say, then I believe you. Well, here I go."

'Good luck, Eunbi-noona. I'll be rooting for you."

With those words, Eunbi heads toward the school's gymnasium to confess her feelings, thanks to your support.

After just a few minutes, you saw them smiling at each other, which is a good sign that the school's famous basketball player, Kim Mingyu, had reciprocated her feelings.

As her friend, who's always with her for a long time, you felt very glad about the outcome. Knowing that Eunbi had finally found someone who can give her the one thing she needs, you were proud that you had helped her succeed in doing so.

At least, that's how you should have felt.

Deep inside, you felt hurt knowing that any chance you have to be in Mingyu's place is all but gone.

After giving her one last smile, you bid goodbye as you let them have the moment for themselves.

You didn't want to stay there any longer, for the sight of the two them together brings enough pain that can make you cry at anytime.

With such feelings that you have at that moment, you hastily went home trying not to let your tears fall.

As you walk alone, you wondered what you could have done to show her how much you see her as more than a friend. After all, you've been a good friend to her for several years now, which was more than enough time for her to realize how you look at her in a different way, which in truth, is someone akin to more than just a friend.

You noticed that you managed to get home much quicker than expected. These thoughts about you and Eunbi seemed to have occupied your mind when you were walking. While you were pondering about the reasons why she didn't see you like that, you thought about something that may have been the real reason why.

For all the years you've been a good friend to her, she only sees you like a little brother.

The three-year gap between your ages may have been one of the things that prevented you from having a relationship with her.

Of course, neither of you were at fault, since that was how it's always been ever since you've met for the first time.

Eunbi is a very kind, supportive and caring girl who's always there whenever you need her.

She never hesitates to help you when you're feeling lonely, and was there to provide you with comfort and warmth, which is something that an older sister does for her younger sibling. You were an only child, and because of her, you have experienced what it's like to have an older sibling, who genuinely cares for you, and is more than willing to prioritize your needs above hers sometimes.

These reasons alone were what made you very appreciative of her, and you can never repay all the good things that she had done for you. Because of this, Eunbi became one of the most important people you have ever met, and that you promised to yourself that you would always be there for her, as a good and loyal friend who's always ready to support her.
