Here is a short and basic tutorial for editing hair in Ibispaint x.
Disclaimer: Editing hair is one of my weak points, but I hope this can still help!
I will be using this brush for the whole tutorial.

1. Use the smudge tool to smoothen the hair. The opacity should be around 30-60.

2. Now add shadows to the hair. Use the eyedropper tool to pick a dark colour from the shadows that are already there.
Use multiply or darken for blending.
Remember to open new layers for each step.

3. Now add the highlights. Use the same method above to choose a light colour from the hair.
The opacity should be around 40.
Add strokes to the areas of the hair that are already naturally highlighted.
Use add for blending.

5. Now we will add more detailed highlights and shadows to the hair. I changed my brush to Pencil (#1).
The size should be around 1-2 and the opacity should be around 30-70.
Draw thin and delicate strokes onto the brightest parts of the hair and the darkest parts of the hair. Use the same colours and blending options as before.
