[Chapter-LI]

"I think you should send him back to Georgia for a period. At least, he is safe there."

Georgia?

"Wait for the next week. I can't send him straight away. They can sense something and might be successful in finding him. Let the weekend be over and I'll make some efforts to send him back there."

"What would you tell him? He has a tendency to put questions one after another until he gets his answer or gets rebuked for his action."

"I can handle him but for now, watch over him intently."

As I heard the footsteps reaching for outside, my stomach fluttered and I quickly darted my way to my room.

My heartbeat was shallow and fast, seemed too loud in my ears, my head felt like it was in a clamp. I could feel my body begin to sweat, leaving the beads on my forehead as I stood beside the door.

I trotted to the bed and sat down quietly, pretending as I had never left my spot.

Until now, my palms were all clammy.

Why was I feeling so nervous?

A knock on my door brought me back to reality. Thibbault revealed himself in a manner as he was suspecting something. He rolled his eyes around my room and took a glance in my direction.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Where is your phone?"

"What do you want it for?"

"I need to check something."

"What do you want to check on my phone?"

Thibbault drew an intense breath pressing the bridge of his nose and muttered. "You ask too many questions."

I managed to utter. "Well, you shouldn't think then, I'll give you my phone without any explicit information."

There you go with his usual demanding tone. His expression morphed into a stern face.

"Connor, hand me your phone right now."

I gulped down, before picking up my lying phone from the bed and placed it on his outstretched hand.

"Can you please tell me the reason, what do you want it for?"

"You are not going to get it back for the next three days."

That's it.

"What are you hiding from me?"

And I wish I hadn't opened my big mouth.

"What makes you think we're hiding something from you?"

Uh oh.

It was all driving me crazy. I wasn't allowed to get out of the house except for school. I have got restrained for hanging out with friends, even Destiny. And that talk was a bit of clarification.
