Kira's dad was still cooking the dinner when they arrived so they decided to use the time they had for homework. About half an hour later they were called to the dinner table. They were having lasagna.

At first the meal was quiet and they slowly eased into a conversation about everyone's day. It was all going well and Scott was enjoying his time with Kira but the things took a turn for the worse.

"If you don't mind I was wondering how your friend was, Stiles." says Noshiko,

"Oh he's been good." says Kira, "Ever since he's gotten control of his power from being a tail he's been good. He's happy and even Malia..."

"What." cuts in Noshiko,

She sounded angry, concerned but most of all scared.

"Did you know what he was?" asks Scott sounding angry himself,

But Kira's mom stayed quiet.

"You did know didn't you." says Kira,

"You knew he still had all that power. You knew he was a Nogitsune tail but you didn't tell us."

"I had good reasons not to." she counters,

"What good reasons. We were all surprised and scared when we learned what he was."

"The devil takes care of his own Kira. A Nogitsune tail is a host, when it leaves its host it leaves it power for their own protection. So if in the future the Nogitsune wishes to return to his host he can."

"I still don't get it." says Scott,

"The power Stiles has is meant to protect him. Usually a tail would never develops its power if it didn't know. Its powers would only start developing in times of great danger or to heal a serious injury."

"Well Stiles did have a panic attack."

"That would not be enough. But if the tail were to know what is was and know of its power then they could develop them."

Kira turned away looking down at the floor.

"Stiles didn't believe he had power but we encouraged him." says Kira,

"But there's nothing bad about this. All that power is meant to protect him." says Scott trying to comfort Kira,

"Scott he's a tail. He's a part of the Nogitsune and to him is where his loyalties lie." says Noshiko,

Noshiko seemed sadden by the news she had brought them. She sighed before speaking.

"How much power does he have at the moment? Or at least what can he do?" she asks,

"Right now he only has the strength, claws and fangs." says Scott,
